We wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you to B&M for responding to our letters and kindly sending us lots of bird seed. The eco group are looking forward to making feeders from recycled plastic bottles after the Christmas break!

We’ve been very busy – check out our big diagram showing what learning has looked like in terms 1 and 2. Lots of learning in the outdoors and team work!

Recovery Back to Learning at Holywood

 

Hi all, Caspian is back. Today I have done a comprehension and coloured in a picture of a plesiosaurus. I also had a call with P4/5. We did some Kiva work. Some of you should remember the work I did in the Kiva class because I was there with you.

I saw the tree pictures in the background. They are very artistic. I don’t know if I am a good artist but I try my best since, art is imagination at the end of the day. I would like to be Leonardo da Vinci of the modern age. I feel like bragging on and on about art but, the blog would have 80 more pages if I shared my art ideas, opinions and even my own works of art.

Sadly this time has to come, Sssssssssss! (Snake for goodbye)

I’ve been having a big natter with James who joined P3 last week.

It turns out that he likes Salt and Vinegar nuts!! Not a favourite of mine!!

He also likes playing zombie/ jumping games on his X-Box.

He needs to wear a helmet when he is out riding his bike especially if he is performing wheelies!!

I’ve noticed already that James likes making up big stories – this is exciting and I can’t wait to read the stories that he writes in class!  Can one of your stories be about a giraffe that lives at home with a head teacher please?!

James loves kebab meat and wants us to try it too!  Not sure about that one.

We both love roast chicken!

At school James likes break times, choose times and home time!!

We hope he also likes getting muddy now that he has joined Team Holywood!

Hey everyone

After 6 months of no french we have started it again! At the moment we’re just doing revision so its not that interesting. Today we’ve  been  doing dates and years.

This week we have been making Christmas decorations for care homes which has been good. Some of the things we’re making mini bauble hats, peg snow men, sock snow men and Christmas paper crafts.

Hi everyone! It’s Cleo. Today I will be talking about Big Thursday and what we have been learning about on Big Thursday. The first subject we learn in the morning is science. In  science we are learning electronics. So far we have learnt the symbols for light bulbs,wires and other things. We have to make different circuits. A very common circuit people do is wire to a battery and another wire to a battery then attach that to a light bulb. When we go out for break and come back in  we have computer science. In computer science we have these lego boxes called Lego We Do. We have to have an app for the lego. On the app it shows you how to build the set you wanna build and when you build it you get to program it on the app. My favourite one was probably Milo. When we finish computer science we move onto art. Art is one of my favourite classes. We’ve learnt many different techniques. My favourite animal we had to draw was probably the Koi fish. After art we move onto P.E. which is our last class of the day. On the first week it was pretty rainy so we had to create some games and make a circuit. The next 2 weeks we did a circuit which included army crawling, running through the willow den and many other fun activities. The other weeks we played some games.
