Holywood Hullabaloo

Hi it’s Claudia and Brooke and Kye. 

When we went back to school we were geting put in to teams. we have made posters flags tshirts, games and challenges. Brooke liked the games and Claudia liked the dancing. 

We came back to school a few weeks ago and we got into houses there was 4 houses. Fox beetle and falcon ant, stagoak and eagle bee. we have been making badges and posters and flags and working hard. Also challenges and games. my favourite was balloon chairs. I am in falcon ant. I have been making badges. Cleo, Jack, Kye, Brooke, Claudia, Brody, Erin, Liam, Ramani, Larsson, Orla, Mena, Skye, Olly are in my group.

Today I did some work on aero-dynamics as I asked Mum for a lesson on it. Here are my facts so far:-

1.You need wind to go underneath the wings to lift the plane.

2.The forces needed to fly are weight, thrust, lift and drag.

3.Flaps and slats work together on the wings to take off.

4.Ailerons move up and down altering the lift force.

5.Elevators are on the tail and control the vertical force.

I am doing more on aero-dynamics next week.

I also did some spelling and maths. I am having a British breakfast for tea, as we find it easier to digest later in the day. We also fed the birds since they get through about 12 fat balls in one day. Mum has seen about 5 fat sparrows amongst all the smaller sparrows, and I have seen some rooks, and starlings on our feeders. We hope to see a Great Woodpecker in the woods soon.

I didn’t have much else to say today, so… I guess it’s bye!!!

Today I have been doing some partitioning and adding the sum together, Some reading of The Enchanted Wood up to Chapter 17 & 18 I enjoied it a lot. I did some spelling too and my mummy made some chocolate buns today and they were so yummy I felt like I was a super hero and I made a sum out of my mummys buns here I’ll tell you it.

“Mummy made 4 blue berry buns and made 20 chocolate buns how many are there? 20+4=24 & 4+20=24 4+20 20+4 are the same sum. ” And that is my sum I did  I made it up all by myself. ^_~

Hello! We  hope you are keeping safe and well.

In school we have four houses, Stagoak, Eaglebee, Falconant and Foxbeetle. The four houses were sorted through the holywood sorting stump wich is a hollow  tube kind of thing and its painted in brown with nobly bits like a real stump. Its super cool.

We are in  stagoak, it is a strong group that has strength and stamina : ) though nobody in the group actually listens to us. -_- Two people wanted our colour to be purple and black but we wanted black and white so we had a vote and they kept counting people who never even had their hands up for that colour. So in the end the colours  were actually green and brown,  so we’re happy.

eagles have good eye site.

eagles are one of the biggest sky bird.

eagles are very fast flyers and they are good flyersb as well.

bees are so small over 100 of them can fit in one hive.

bees use flowers to get necter to make honey.

bees are black and yellow there stingers are also black.

if you see a bee closs up it look like they are fuzzy.

Hello everyone,

Today was the best day ever 😊 I did my maths this morning. I did alien ships angles and the supermarket ingredients shopping. Then I helped mummy make a picnic. We had sausage rolls, pork pies, scotch eggs, carrots, apples, crisps and wafer bars. Mummy also made some buns to take with us. I did a dance show at the top of the hill and my family also danced. We walked down to the river and checked our badger home to see if everything was okay. Then we had our picnic by the little beach. We saw an otter 🦦 and it was beautiful and magical. It came out of its home in the rocks and played in the water before it went in the tree root in the water. It made me so happy to see the otter because I have never seen one before. When we finished our picnic we played ball with Idris and then played rounders with her ball and a big stick we used for a bat. On our way home I looked at the big yellow daffodils. On the way home I waved at Miss Stapleton. My cat Ludo was sleeping in a sun beam when we got back.

Hello everyone,

Today I have had a call with Mr Laidlaw. With mummy I did fraction word problems, some partitioning numbers, spelling and Why Do We Use Soap? and it was an experiment. It was water and pepper in a bowl put your finger in the bowl then wash it and after that I got soap on my finger and put it in and it was so cool because it made the pepper run away and made a circle in the middle. I also did some nouns and proper nouns. A noun is a thing and object or a place and a proper noun can be a name. I did some reading with Mr Laidlaw  too it was a wimpy kid halloween one but I didn’t have to read the hole book but half of the book was very cool I really like it but my brother loves it because he has some books about it some people might not like it but some people may like just like me and  my brother.  ^_~

Hi! Caspian here.

Today I did some maths and spelling, along with my maths I did some factor bugs, it was an interesting subject. I also have started to research aerodynamics also because I was wondering if I jinxed myself saying its impossible, planes would fall from the sky.  🤣 I did some literacy with Mr Laidlaw as well as some in my book and with Mum. When I tried to get onto the class call today I looked on my calendar and saw it was cancelled. I hope we can all have a call tomorrow or next week. I am baking a Victoria sponge tomorrow and then we are going out on our bikes.
