Holywood Hullabaloo

At school we do something called big Thursday. In big Thursday we do  STEM , PE , music and drama. My favourite is STEM witch is science , technology , engineering and maths. In STEM we have been doing something called micro bit it is a small computer than has an LED , day light detector , motion sensor and speakers. we have been recently been programming them to play rock , paper , scissors.

In maths we are learning about open and closed and mulable   chose questions . We are also learning how to make a spread sheet \ question air . We were doing it to collect our class data  here’s what stuff were doing age,gender,how many siblings and stuff like that its fun . 

Hello everyone, today I have been doing some maths sorting and drawing 2D shapes. I have also done some estimating and approximating. I did some spelling and played noughts and crosses to learn my words. A few days ago my mummy got me a nature book and it is very interesting. I learnt about the big bang and about the stars dying every single day which is quite upsetting to me. I will probably do some more work from the nature book because there are some very very interesting things in there. I read two more chapters of my Worst Witch book and I did a review and drew Mildred Hubble with Tabby her cat and then I wrote about Mildred and I wrote that I liked the book and why I liked it.

Hello, Caspian is here!

In English today I worked on story cohesion, planning and writing. In maths I did number and place value which included some stuff on decimal rounding problems and negative number problems. I read six more chapters from The Thieves of Ostia by Caroline Lawrence. It is about four children who are trying to solve a mystery in ancient Rome. I also made chocolate smarties cookies. I started some research on the origins of Pokémon and will share my facts later in the week.

Hi everyone, Today I have done a autumn tree and i described it. I also did shapes in maths and spelling.

I hope everyone is okay. I had a really nice dinner with my family. And me and mummy sang a really funny song tonight.

Hi, Caspian here.

Today I did the usual spelling, maths and literacy.

In maths I did some data gathering and pie charts and figured out most of my day is spent reading and drawing. I also made an autumnal picture and wrote a description  of it. They will be added at the bottom.

Today we have been learning about in P6/7, is spelling quiz I got a 8/10 and I was with Miss Dale,  I struggled a bit but I still enjoyed it. Then we did Wee grammar book, about our time connectives/ connectives  and punctuation we did a or an and time connectives, explaining what are time connectives and what words go with a or an like an hospital it doesn’t make sense but that’s how you say it.

Then after break we did maths, we did first is problem solving I got 3 right on red with my friends, then after that we did all about me  where you need to collect all the information from someone but you needed to do it about you we finished it, and then sum dog and then Lunch time.

Then after Lunch time we needed to finished our sketch notes about caring about the environment, I finished mine and then we needed to go into board games like the same as, the sketch note but you needed to make it as a board game. While doing that we went into cursive  we did a, b, c, d, e, and f I did it neatly then went right into business groups doing Blogs and newspapers then it was home time and that is all.

Microbits  are a mini computers you can use to make games and videos so you code on the computer and the thing you coded goes on the Microbits sensors. weave been using them on big Thursday

We have been learning about climate change and about how much fossil fuel we use. We want to tell you how to make a  little difference and here are some tips-

Clothes-You can recycle them at charities or give them to someone in your family.

Litter- you now have plastic bins and  cardboard bins to you can use the bins.

electricity-If you have solar panels then the sun gives you electricity but even if you do there is no point using lights if the sun is bright.
