On Wednesday we went to Rock Uk for our residential. When we were there we went to our cabins and put all our stuff away. Then got ours beds ready. Then we got ready for our next activates. We did a lot of activates like abseiling, low ropes, canoeing, kayaking and raft building. My group did the abseiling first I went down with Jayda this was my first time ever doing it then I did it again!!! We did a couple more activates after that. Then we had dinner. After we woke up and got ready we went for breakfast then went back to our cabins, then went for our activities me and Jayda were together for most of the activates. Jayda and I were together on the canoeing we were shaking the boat
and we nearly tipped over. It was funny. The activities were all water activates and we got really wet that day. After all that we had dinner then we went to the pool. I and Jayda were playing with a tiny football passing it to each other, once it was time up I had a shower in the showers at the pool Azari used my shampoo. The pool was really fun and funny. After we got dried we went back to our cabins.

Rock UK
On Wednesday we went on residential for three days at rock UK first thing we did we drove to Dun cow to pick up 8 of them.
When we got there we got our cabins and I was in cabin 2 with Reece Brody Daniel and Owen.
Raft building where you had to grab 6 logs and 4 brails and 8 ropes then we got life jacket and a helmet and then we went in the water I got stuck in the water.
After raft building we did canoeing me and Azari kept shaking the canoeing it got filet with water and after a we while we flipped then I was just floating in the water then I got dragged to shore. It was cold. It was fun. Have you been to rock UK before.?
On Wednesday to Friday we went to Rock UK for our residential. When we were there we did tons of activities including zip line and abseiling.
We went down a large zip line until we had to get off after two goes. It was long. At the top there was a platform to go down. There was two cabals to keep you safe and secure. It is around 300 meters to 350 meters long. At the bottom there was two people to catch you.
On my first go I went down with grace after a short time me and Jayde went down.
On the first day my group did abseiling. Abseiling is where you go up a tower and a person clips you in for safety you get belayed down the wall. I was ready to go down until the blindfolds were getting used. I was scared! I went down it was fun I did it again. I went down with Findlay and I was jumping down the wall. A 90 degree angel down one part and 40 degree angel on the other part. One the first part it was slippy on the other part you had a lot of grip.

On Wednesday Holywood primary and Duncow primary school went on a P5-7 residential visit at Rock UK for 3 days and 2 nights. We done lots of activities while we weir on our visit. Activities including Raft building, Stream walk, kayaking, open canoeing, Zip line, Abseiling and much more to be said.
Wednesday was the day that we arrived at Rock UK we travelled in a couch bus with Duncow primary school. Once we arrived at Rock UK, we had an instructor tell us what Rock UK is about and the rolls to Rock UK. Then we got into our cabins and chose what bed we are going to stay in droning our visit. As soon as we had our lunch, put our bags in our cabin, got put into our activity groups, and got ready for the first activity we then headed to our first activity.
Raft building was my group’s first activity. It was awesome! We had 7 in a group for raft building and I had Mena, Nancy, Anneliese, Grace, McKenna and Becky in my group. We built our raft using 6 logs and 4 barrels while we were building our raft, we used excellent team work! After we had built it we done lots of challenges with our raft. It was extraordinary!
Next we had open canoeing, my partner was Anneliese we had a blast. We had to wear a bouncy aid, helmet and water shoes. We wear really well at steering the boat in different directions because we listen well to each other. After a short time of games we then done a challenge, the challenge was to sit at the edge of the boat and see how far we could lift our boat. I fell in! I was in the water while Anneliese was dry sitting in the boat. I couldn’t stop laughing!
Then it was time for dinner we had lasagne. It was delicious! I had 2 big porches I said a huge thank you to the cook. After we had pudding and pudding was vanilla ice cream with strawberry sauce. It was yummy!
Eventually it came to our last activity of the day and it was a big scavenger hunt witch was hard and low ropes witch is basically a big obstacle cores. I enjoyed it! My groups name for the scavenger hunt was the collie dogs we worked well as a team. In the low ropes you have to wear a helmet but it was good because we didn’t need an instructor.
Last of all it was supper we were all in our pj’s and went down to the kitchen to have a hot chocolate and a biscuit. It was nice! Also we counted up all our points from the scavenger hunt. We done well!
Then it came to bed time some of us did not get that much sleep and some got lots but we all did get at least some sleep. That’s the end of Wednesday good bye.
On Wednesday we went to rock UK for our residential. We did adventurous activities such as kayaking, zip lining, canoeing and abseiling.
For canoeing, Findlay and I were partners. We stood up in the boat and it rocked from side to side! It was scary we were playing games like canoe ball and consequence canoe
In canoe ball there’s three balls you and your partner have to paddle into the nearest ball you pick up the ball and throw it into the nearest boat if you have completed that we go and run away!
In consequence canoe we line up with our canoes then the instructor “shouts get in the consequence canoe if you like chocolate”! We all get in the consequence canoe. Well Jayda what is the consequence canoe? The consequence canoe is a canoe that got chosen most likely in the middle.
Next is zip lining. On zip lining we get clipped onto a pulley system and carabineer clip then you let your feet loose and weeeeeeeee! Your away I had an adrenaline rush.
Residential is a Chans for pupils to concur there fears and have fun.Activities
On residential we done lots of activities but my top three were rock climbing, abseiling and zip line. Although I liked these activities I did not like stream advancer. I did not like stream advancer because, it was wet and cold I also did not like the cots that we put on top of our cloths. They were scratchy and soar. There were other activates such as
Food
We had lots of delicious food, such as lasagne, sausages, soup and role. Lasagne was amazing. Breakfast was good to.
Cabins
I shear a bunk bed with Azari, I was on the top bunk and she was on the bottom. Ten o’clock was bed time but the girls in the other room stayed up later (they were very noisy). The girls in the other cabin were Nia, Mena, McKenna, Grace, Nancy.
On Wednesday we want to Rock UK for 3 days for our residential.
We went with dun cow which made it more fun.
When we got there, we got our cabins and I was in a cabin with Miller Owen, Brody, and Daniel I shard a room with Lewis we put all of our bags in our rooms and went to the dinner hall and had lunch. After that we went down to the lake for our first activate it was raft building we had 8 loge and rope and 4 barrels to make it float then we put it all together and we made a raft we got to jump on it. After raft building we did canoeing I was partners with Daniel we dot to chase a ball in the water then we tipped it over then Azari and millers tipped then Brody and Owens then we flipped sum back over but it was full of water. It was fun. We had to swim to the platform.
Then we dried of back at the cabin that was the first day the second day we did stream walk ab sailing rock wall and kayaking and the third day we did zip line it was the best part do you like zip lines???
On Wednesday we went to rock UK for a 3 day visit. We did fun and exciting activities including kayaking and zip line
When we did kayaking I loved it so I learned how to use the paddle and I got good. The first game we played was world domination were we have to pick a country and hit the back of the other people kayaks 3 times but if we got hit you joined that country’s team get everybody to win. The second game was bull dog which was very fun. The way you play it is you pick one person to the bull dog and everybody else has to get by them to the other

The zip line was on top of a hill it was like on a platform with a thick metal rope that you attach your harness to and you just jump. You go flying through the loch trees and grass. Then people pull a rope what slows you down and you get unclipped and you go back up and do it again. You can go partners or by you self .
On Wednesday we went to Rock UK or a residential. When we were there did activities including kayaking and canoeing.
Canoeing
First we put on a helmet and a live vest for safety. After we had done that we got in to partners and fond a canoe to sit in. Once we got in to our canoes they pushed us in to the water. AND WE LANCHED IN TO THE WATER! We had a little paddle around for a while and wend around an island. Alothgh some mud feel out a tree and landed on my head! After we got round the island we played a game in the canoes called fruit salad. In fruit salad you get given a fruit. If the instructor calls your fruit you stand up and shout whatever fruit you are. And they might say your fruit squash that means you have to stand up and shout what you are and then do a big jump! Since we had extra time, we played a game called consequences canoe. To play this we all held on each other’s canoes. The instructors ask everyone the same question like do you have a cat? If they do they go into the consequences canoe. If you are in the consequences canoe and the next question does not apply to people in the canoe they have to leave.
Kayaking
Once we got to the shed, we put a live vest and a helmet. After we put them on we got into a line from shortest to tallest to see what size of kayak you need. I got a small green one. After that we sat in them there was two little black footrest that we had to adjust to fit us. Once we had done that we slowly shuffled towards the water off the dock. SPLASH the front of my kayak went right into the water and popped back up! In the water we played bulldog. In bulldog the person who is IT needs to tap the back of the other peoples kayak to IT them. If you get IT you join the bulldog!
