We made craters with balls and stones and dropped them in to flour, cocoa powder and sand.  Then we wrote about space and we put inflatable planets in there right spots.

Neptune is the furthest planet from the sun.

We have made Playdo planets. We had blow up planets and we made a rhyme, Millers Very Evil Monkey Jumps Stupidly Up Neptune.And we listen to songs. Mercury  is the closest planet to the sun but it is not the hottest . It has lots of craters and is mostly made of iron.

Venus is a rocky planet like all of the first four planets so Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars. It is the hottest planet in the solar system.

Earth is the only planet in the solar system that has life that we know of. It is mainly covered with water.

Mars  has the biggest mountain that we know of in the universe and it is called Olympus Mons. It has a red colour and is sometimes  known as the red planet.

Jupiter is the biggest planet in our solar system and it is the first gas giant in order.  It has a big red spot which is a storm that is twice the size of Earth!

Saturn has rings that are made of ice, rock and dust. It is made from hydrogen and helium.

Uranus is made from methane and that’s why it smells like rotten eggs! It has a ring around it and it spins on it’s side.

Neptune has 13 moons and is the windiest planet in the solar system. It is really cold, so cold that it even has ice volcanoes on it!

We did some activities like making the planets out of play doh and making craters in flour and coco powder.

Saturn is the only planet that has visible rings with a normal telescope its the second biggest planet in the solar system

Uranus is made of mainly  hydrogen  some helium and a little bit of methane.

Neptune is the windiest planet in the solar system and it has 14 moons and its the last planet in the solar system.

Jupiter is the biggest planet in the solar system and all the planets combined would be nowhere near the size of Jupiter. Mercury is the closest planet to the sun and very cold at night and at the day it is very hot..

On Tuesday we made craters here’s how we did it,

• Get 3 or 2 small balls and get 1 big ball if you want get a big rock or 2.
• Get a 50 cm plastic box.
• Flour, Coco powder and if you want you can get some sand.
• And pour the flour and the coco powder into the plastic box.
• Then you want to flatten it down or take the next step and gather it up into a mountain shape.
• After that you can throw the ball or rock onto it  and see how big the crater is.

Miller found it really really exciting!

Hi my name is Carson i am going to tell you about my learning

1 Miss Stapalton is doing music this term for big Thursday and it is my third favourite subject

2 Is miss Pattie is doing PE i like the games in it but we have 7 weeks left so it might change my mind

3 Miss Mcknay she is teaching drama and it is my 2 favourite subject for the now

4 Miss jardin is doing computer science and this is my favorite one it is just really fun

In the October year, We have finished our WW1 book, And we are also doing the Lion King in December/November, But we are doing rehearsal soon, And we will also do WW2 after the show, We’ve also been learning about shapes, And then we had a game about guessing the shapes names in maths, We are also doing maps of Africa, We also made memorial drawings of WW1,
We also got fabric poppies for our memorial,

like normal im going to say all the subjects who dose them and what ones my favourite

1.miss Mcnay is doing drama not my favourite but i like it.

2.miss Stapleton for music its getting close to being my favourite

3.miss Pattie dose p.e and we are doing gymnastics its so close to being my favourite

and the last one is computer science with miss Jarden! my favourite

 

maths

in maths we have been learning the properties of shapes and the types of lines for example perpendicular lines and quadrilateral shapes.

 

and for stuff we have just been doing is learning about Africa its really fun and we are currently making a big map of Africa for the wall in the hall

 

pretty sure thats all bye!!

At the start  we did p.e it is gymnastics I all ready do gymnastics and can bend my back most directions. We did balances I was the one on top most times after was music and we where learning about  Djembe  drums and playing them. Then drama it was a lot of drama games and a story about a elephant. Then Lego we do I build a flower and a bee.
