Learning!

We started reading a book about the trenches it was all about a boy named billy, who wanted to join the army to serve his country and one day he went to the sergeants office to join the army but the sergeant thought the war would only last a couple of weeks, the sergeant denied him but but the sergeant was very wrong about the war lasting a couple of weeks. it lasted for 5 years then billy joined the military then got changed to be an engineer for the war, then we did  drawing trench soldiers and what it was like in the trenches most of the soldiers tried to attack The Germans without being noticed but the Germans had heavy artillery to gun them down around 80,000 – 70,000 died doing it. The trenches where full of rats and mice.  some soldiers ate bully beef. What was life like in a World War One trench? - BBC BitesizeA soldier with a rifle in a trench in World War One

Our learning

Hello!!!

We are going to tell you about our learning and the things that we have learnt. We have been learning about the Victorian times and we tried doing Victorian P.E. In the Victorian times they called P.E. drill ( It was very hard and it makes you tired). Miss Pattie got a box from the Museum full of different things from the Victorian times. We got to feel the shoes that children had to wear and the shoes were tiny! There was also a rag doll that was flat. We got to feel the belts that they used to punish  the children when they were naughty. We got 3 shots of hitting the belts on the floor. We got to see and feel the kids chalkboards and a pupil brought in 4 Victorian coins.

BIG THURSDAY (our learning )

PE – We have been doing different things like some things for tennis and cricket.
ART – For art we have been doing pop art words and portraits and for the portraits we have been doing Roy Lichtenstein style portraits.
OUTDOOR LEARNING – In outdoor learning we have made dream catchers and learnt how to do a half hitch.
DRAMA – In drama we learnt a story called Baba Yaga and the three black geese and we acted it out and did stepping it out.

The Queens Sad Death😥😭😢😢😭😭😩😩😰😰😭😭😭😭💔💔💔💔💔⁉⁉⁉⁉

Today Queen Elizabeth the second has sadly died. Mark, Mummy, Caspian and me are very upset and I’m just about to cry but I’m trying to hold it in…😭😭😭jh😭😭😭 She was quite old though she was 96 and I hope that she goes to heaven and looks down on us all and makes sure that we’re all okay Queen Elizabeth was a very kind, caring and helping Queen. To be honest all I can think about is her I’m really finding it hard to really understand the she has died at school I’ve heard people talking about her wishing that she would live to 200 100 and older but sadly she cant but Queen Elizabeth has worked hard and its time she had a break because she’s had a hard run of being Queen and she only started being Queen at 25 so she’s been Queen very long but a lovely Queen.😊🧡🧡 She also travelled a lot.

Long Live King Charles!!!!!!
