Holywood Hullabaloo

On Monday we made solar ovens.  This is how we made them.  First you need to get a big baking bowl and two digestive biscuits and one block of chocolate. Then get tin foil  and put it in the bowl  and make shore you make it tight around the bowl.  Next put biscuits in the bowl then put the chocolate on top. Then  put cling film on top. After a little  bit take of the cling film off and get a  mash mallow and what for 5 min or 10  min but put on the cling film. Now take the cling film of and put the other  biscuits and put it on top of the mash mallow. Then you can eat it all up!! It was so nice! The sun cooked them!

In IDL yesterday we made s’mores with out a fire. If you want to make them you will need tin foil ,baking bowl ,cling film and the stuff to make s’mores and a hot day. First you need to find a hot spot. Then put the bowl  down and put the tin foil in. Next put the digestive biscuits in and the chocolate on top.  Finally put the cling film on top of it and leave it for a bit of time then put the marshmallows on top and wait until a bit sticky and put a biscuit on top and enjoy. On the weekend I had football and we won.

On Monday in the morning we got put into groups of 4 and then got a partner in them groups. Once we got into our groups we were given an argument in each group of 4 each partner group would get given the same argument and 2 partners got the yes side and 2 got the no side. For example my group got asked should students get to pick their teacher? Me and my partner got yes all 4 of the people in the group had to make an argument and an evidence back up / proof. My argument and evidence for yes was,  I believe that students should be able to choose their teacher because they can choose a teacher they like. This could improve their focus and scores on tests and just make school more fun. In maths we played all ten, we did word problems and we played a game called mafia. Today in literacy we were learning about migration emigration and immigrants. In maths we did rainbow maths, we got our assessments and figured out the questions we got wrong any why we did and we ended with doing some questions about mixed fraction adding.

Hi it is Libby last Sunday when I went horse riding and learnt how to jump 1 . 5 metre. I was riding Sunny. My horse he is a Cob and is 14.5 hands. Sunny is 4 years old he is the best!  I got Sunny at 2. I am rely happy  jumped 1 .5. It was scary but I did .

On the weekend me and my dad went over to my uncles house to watch Spurs Vs Everton. First we went to Tesco to buy some crisps dip and some beer. When we got there I turned notifications on for the West Ham game so I could see who would get relegated. The game started and Spurs were dominating. Just before half time Spurs scored making it 1 nil. They managed to hold on till the end of the match so they didn’t get relegated.

Hello it’s Owen and i’m going to  tell you about my jump for my mountain bike.

I made it out of things I found in my shed. A big slab of concrete and an old battery. My sister built her own one that’s a lot smaller. 

It’s very fun because you can get a lot of speed. Beth let me have a shot on her tiny bike and when I hit it I went flying since it’s so light. Then I did her small jump and went of the side and went into the fence.

Hello, last week I did a blog on what we did last time we went to Wallace hall and now I will do one one what we did this time.

First… We did English we did not do much we drew things telling people about us like our hobbies, favourite food and school.

Next…we did D.T. with Mr Corrigan, we made hedgehog pencil holders it was so fun.

After that… we did maths and we played a game called countdown and the teacher let us write on the table (with wight bored pen it comes of ) And then we played a game called bloock it on our phones it is basically kahoot   but maths.

 

Last week we had a transition day at Wallace hall. first we got split into groups. Then we went to our first classes. My groups first class was science. In science I had 200,000 volts going through me. I put my hand on this metal ball and my hair started to spike up. Then I fist bumped someone and it zapped me. Then we had some tuning keys. When I hit it off the table It made a ding sound and then I put it up to my ear and it sounded really weird. After that my group had English with Mr Pape. We wrote about a place we would like to visit. I wrote about the jungle. Then it was breaktime. At break we played 1 bounce with the older ones. Next I had design and technology. In design and technology we made pencil holders out of blocks of wood. First I drilled holes into the wood. they were for the pencils. Then I decorated it with sharpies. I drew the Spurs logo on the side. And then I wrote come on you Spurs on the side. After that we maths. In maths we played the dot game. The dot game is a grid that has numbers along the x and y axis. What ever number it is is how many dots you need along that row. I thought it would be easy but it is actually Quite hard because some rows cross each other. So you have to arrange them in the perfect order. Then it was lunch I had barbecue and cheese pasta. At lunch we played football in the Muga. We played P7s take on. So we were playing against all the s1s and 2s and 3s all the way to s6.
