Holywood Hullabaloo

On friday we made paper chains  HAD TO BE 50FT WIDE!!!!!

then we had to make crowns for the kings coronation and it was quite stressfull cause i kept placing stuff in the wrong way..

then  on sunday there was a kings coronatinin the village halland some people went and sang lion king songs here is a photo.

Hi its Rory and on Friday a geologist was in and he told us about fossils and oil Riggs

he brought in a bunch of rocks like obsidian sand stone and more.

 

He had fossils and and a BABY OR TEEN MOSASAURUS SKULL!!!

I don’t remember a lot of the things about oil Riggs but the guy said the waves get very high and shake the place about and your not allowed to go out side he also said you have to wear very uncomfortable suits in the helicopter on the way there. it takes a long time sometimes to get there so you might be in those uncomfortable suits for up to 8 hours.

Hi today i am going to talk the geology talk at the begin i came out there was a giant skull of a swimming dinosaur (I forgot the name) and it was about 1ft long

We also saw rocks out of a volcano one of them had gems inside

On Sunday we had a coronation in the village hall there was food and there was a crown competition:

Olly and James played the chanter and bagpipes at the opening of the event. They sounded brilliant!!

Last week on Friday we had a man  called David come to our school and teach us about fossils and gemstones there was a mosasoris skull and a tooth.

AND WE WILL BE TELLING YOU ABOUT GEOLOGY!!!!!!!! 🙂                               

ON Friday, a geologist came in to tell us about oil pumps in the sea and what they found there  there are two ways of getting on the oil pumps, the first is by boat when you get there a crane lowers done a basket and they jump on it and gets brought up its the most dangerast way to get on and the least common.

the second one is by helicopter it is the most safe way and the most common way. 🙂 

 

The geologist brought in a young mosasaurus skull and some half cylinder shapes of rocks like salt and oil rock. He also bought in some crystals and rocks including obsidian quartz tiger eye amethyst and red sandstone 😀 We could go in and hold the crystals at the end p1s first and p7s last!!

last Saturday it was the kings coronation.On Sunday we had a  big party at Holywood village hall. Last Friday a geologist came in and we learned about oil rigs, dinosaurs and minerals

 HIIIII. this is all about geology. the person who was talking to us about. is called David . He was talking to us about what it was like on a oil rig and the training for it. David also has a HUGE Mosausorus skull it looked so cool. He showed us load of different crystals and fossils fools gold amethyst quartz.

A geologist named David came in to school last week to talk about his job as a geologist. We learned about the oil rigs on the North Sea and how to harvest oil. He talked about the different rocks used to get the oil out  of the sea. He also looks for fossils and he brought in a HUGE mosasaurus skull. The teeth were MASSIVE and we found out it was JUST A BABY!!!!!!

We also talked about crystals. There was a big chunk of amethyst and loads of other crystals. Like quartz, adventurine, tiger’s eye and many more! It was really fascinating to learn about crystals, rocks, oil and fossils.

Hiii! Rhonas back AGAIN (wont be for long tho, highschool and allllll :() so pretty recently a GEOLOGIST came in and said stuff about rocks and dinosaursssss it was pretty good as welll. C: We saw this like…. big mosasaurus skeleton and BAH google a pic of one they are SCARY FISH.
