LEARNING WITH RHONA AND ORI! C: (SCIENCE EDITION)

Hiii! Rhona and Ori here!! SORRY ORI KEEPS PUBLISHING IT MAN. But anywayssss. Today we were doing AAAA…. (drum roll) SCIENCE EXPERRRRIMENT. SO we were testing reversible and irreversible STUFF by putting objects on spoon and melting them with fire. ( Btw Ori’s finger is my typewriter and its TOUGH MKAY.) We did umm…. Wax, chocolate, matches, new P1s and ICE. C:

SO YEAAAH. This was a pretty short blog but oh wellll heh.

Bye bye! C:

Burning Down the School?

Hi. Today in science, me, Daniel, and the rest of the class ran tests to see whether different materials melted or burnt over a flame. First, we tested a matchstick. It burnt. Afterwards, we burnt bread. The chocolate we tested melted. The ice and wax, well, that’s kind of obvious. They melted. We also had to see if it was reversible or not. Melting was, while burning wasn’t.

Bye. 🙂 ©

today’s science

Hi its Rory and i’m gonna say what we done in science today.

After break we were with the p3s and we were doing a bug hunt to find bugs look at them in a micro scope then draw them.

After lunch we were doing an is it reversible experiment where we lit a candle got a spoon put either a piece of chocolate on the spoon wax bread or ice to see if it melts or burns and to see if its reversible

that is all i think we done today bye

science for today©

©©Hello everyone and i am  going to tell about science of today so we need to meld or toast things and and look if it turns back to normal so that it dries up.I couldn’t do it full because my was light thingy turned of because i breathed to hard! bye bye©

Reversible Or Not?

today we had science. For our investigation we were seeing if different things were reversible if they were melted or burned.the Things we melted/burned were chocolate, bread, matches, ice and wax. chocolate melted and was reversible however bread burned and was not reversible.Matches were not reversible because they are wood and burnt. Although ice and was melted and was reversible. hg

SCIENCE (separation) salt,stone,sand,rice

HOW TO SEPARATE!!!!

(Materials)

  • sieve
  • spoon
  • filter
  • funnel
  • paintbrush
  • container
  • stones
  • rice
  • sand
  • salt
  • pipette

how to do it

first put the mixture into a bowl. then you need to take the stones out. after  you do that you sieve the rice and put them into a separate container. then you take the funnel and place into a tube then place the filter in to the funnel. get your mixture

science

Miss Dale mixed stones, rice, sand and salt we had to separate it all!!!!

1.pick out all the stones and brush it off

2.sieve out the sand, salt until there is no more sand, salt and just rice in the sieve

3.put the salt, sand in to a container

4.pour water in to the container and mix

5.put filter paper in to a funnel

6.put the water in the funnel

7. and wait

8. then boil the water

Science!!!!!!!!

hi l am back and we ave been doing science so how we did it miss dale mixed sand, salt, rice, and rocks it was impossible because we had to separate it back to sand salt rocks and rice. to start this is easy pick out the rocks and sit the to side then get a sive and sive the rice with the sand and salt. Then you need a funal, and a pice of filter paper and fold it into four and make it into a cone and put in to the funal the get sand and put it in the put water in it then wait. Then you will get salt water and the u want to get a pice of black paper and poar the water on it carefully put it on something warm like a retarder then wait and there you have your salt and that is how u separate sand salt rice and rocks bye!!!!!!!!!!!!

SCIENCE: Separation- learn how to separate sand, rocks, salt and rice

HOW TO SEPARATE NATURAL MATERIALS                                                                           Learn how to separate different materials using these simple instructions.

YOU WILL NEED;

  1. Sand
  2. Pipette
  3. Salt
  4. Stones
  5. Containers (for holding the items as well as separating them)
  6. Rice
  7. Funnel
  8. Beakers
  9. Sieve
  10. Water

                                                                                   METHOD

  • Firstly, grab a bowl.
  • Secondly, pour the sand, salt, rice and stones into the bowl and mix them together thoroughly, adding  more of the ingredients if needed.
  • Once all of your ingredients are thoroughly mixed, fill a cup with the mixture. This will be the amount that you separate.
  • Then, take the stones out of the cup and place it into a clean, dry container.
  •  Now, pour your remaining mixture into the sieve and shake well above another container until all of the sand has fallen out of the sieve.
  • Rinse the rice under a cold tap (whilst it is still in the sieve) until any bits of dirt remaining from the sand has been washed out.
  • After you have rinsed the rice, our it into  one of your other containers.
  • Now, run fill a container with warm water. Pour the sand into the water. The salt will have dissolved into the water, leaving the sand to sink into the bottom.
  • Use the pipette to carefully remove the water into a separate container , leaving the sand in the bottom of the first container. Repeat these steps until the water is clear. (the sand will  stain the water as well as float around, so you have to make sure the water is clear otherwise the next step will not work. )
  • Penultimately,  boil the salt water until all of the water has evaporated. Scrape the salt off of the inside of the pan and pour it into the container.
  • Finally, empty the sand into the last container.

There! You have separated all of the ingredients!

science experiment :-)

hi its Erin…

and to day I will be telling you about, a science  experiment we did.

We needed to separate sand, salt, rice, and stone, from each other this is how you do it. 🙂

What you need

mixture of salt, sand rocks, and rice,

beakers and stand,

filter paper,

paintbrush,

sieve,

funnel,

plate,

container,

hot water,

pot,

hob,

How to make:-)

  1. get your mixture and take out  the stones
  2. carefully use a pint brush to brush the sand of the stones put the stones to the side.
  3. use the sieve to sieve out all the rice from the sand and  put it in a beaker.
  4. put the filter paper in the funnel  and put the sand in (the sand will have the salt in it) carefully poor hot water in wait for all the water to filter through do no let the water or sand level go over  the filter paper.
  5. repeat step 4 until the water is clear.

we didn’t have time to Finnish it so yeah this is what We did. 🙁

my partner was Skye.

bye. 🙂
