At Holywood we do a thing where we do math homework we have a sheet with 20 games or sums to do and sumdog we have to hand are homework in. or you  do not get reward time  you have to stay inside and you will be really board  and nothing to do except sitting at the office and doing nothing 30 minutes  sitting and it is fun when you do the math’s  work but!! sometimes it is really boring

LESS HOMEWORK FOR US!!! We don’t like homework cause… It takes up family time. And

Lets face it. Its boring. There could be more important things on at the same time of the homework.

Questions bout’ homework: Do people at secondary get to much strain cause of homework? Should people get punished for not doing homework at primary? NOOOOooo! Who likes homework? (About 70% of the world does not like homework. PLUS’s of homework: its good for your brain and gets you a good for jobs makes your life easier. But People already have 5 Hours of school work all day and only 2 days a week

off But 5 days of school a week.

Home work is boring work is for school and Saturday and Sunday is our days off it is just a waste of time. Why do we do homework when we can spend time with our family and pets. I don’t like it when I get made to do it by my mum.

Homework lets you move forward in your learning and get better grads in maths and writing it also builds up to secondary school. I Don’t do it because I have other priorities such as gymnastics, guitar and I am  joining rugby.

I don’t think we should do demerit because school trips also move your learning forward.

Homework we all know what it is. Most people think it is a bad thing. but some people think it is good.to day  I will be telling you about the good stuff. Homework is there for a resin. Most of the time it Is to let you finish your work that you are doing at school. And some times it is so parents can see how you are improving in class. I think that is a good thing. what do you fink would happen is there was no home work at all. what if you had the decision  to ban home work , would you do it ? now some thing negative some people do not do there homework and get punished .some times you just do not want to do it so. and have to stay in from class there is some reasons that home work is a good thing

we were just doing a p m I board about home work and should we do home work and I was in a group with me Merissa Dakota Lewis, Ethan and jack it was a debate for home work Merissa that we should have home work and Dakota things that we should have home work as well and I thing we should have home work because it moves you learning forwarded and for when you get to high school cause you will need all the things you learned and primary school and it also helps you at college to get you through all the work because you need that for when you get a good job.

Today we done a PMI chart debate on home work. PMI stands for plus mines interesting.

For plus we had when you do it you feel proud, it will make you go far in life and will make you ready for high schools home work. mines you have just done 6 hours at school, you have better things to do in you life. interesting. why do you have to do it, why don’t we have a choice, why cant we cheat, should parents get you to do homework. In our group was Gavin, Hayden, Paul And Me.

This morning we talked about homework and made a PMI chart (plus, minus, interesting) about it. We found that positives and negatives were about equal but there was some interesting responses from some people. Lots of people had different opinions about homework.

Me: I think homework is good. I would like it if the teachers were more strict about it.

Greg: I would like it if the teachers were more strict about not doing your homework.

Jack: Its boring and I think that you are just wasting your time by doing it.

Some people talked about how they felt when they had finished their homework and when they had to do it. Some people with older siblings that are in high school said that they got a lot more homework there and that the teachers were very strict when you didn’t do it. They said their older brothers/sisters did the homework so they didn’t get a detention or get put in the isolation room. They also said they did it so that they would get a good grade.

Most of the positives were about moving your learning forward and about parents seeing what you are able to do, whereas the minuses were about things like not spending time with family, after school clubs and other important things and having to do more work after almost six hours at school!

Last week Professor John Brown came to Holywood school; he was talking about space. It was really good. He does magic! He was an Astronomer Royal. I learnd lots of stuff, but the best one was that there are over 1 billon stars.

At Holywood we got a visit from Professor Brown and we started with a bit of magic. He had a magic book and nothing was on the book and then there was space pictures and then there was gone. Then there was a copper pole and a bit of metal and a cup. Professor Brown put the metal in the copper tube then it went really slow because there was a magnet. This was to demonstrate gravity.
