Learning

Last Thursday was the first Thursday back. We had 4 stations:
1. Digital Literacy
2. Art
3. PE
4. STEM (Textiles)
Today we had our spelling quiz which we have on Wednesday. Ori was my partner.
Our topic is World religions. Everyone is making a poster about a religion. Two groups have Christianity, 2 have Hinduism, 2 have Judaism, 2 have Sikhism, and 2 have Islam. We are in partners. I’m with Alexa. We are making a poster about Judaism.
Yesterday, Tuesday, we had French.
We were also finishing our posters.
We are practising our Noun pronoun pronoun noun writing with Information reports. They are about the environment. My three things are bees, wildfires, and ocean plastics.
Bye! 😀

Good morning everyone!

Over the past two weeks P6-7 have been learning about World Religion in IDL. Everyone is doing one of six religions: Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Sikhism. Me and my partner are learning about Islam and the 5 pillars of Islam which are: Shahadah , Salah, Zakat, Hajj and Fasting.

Learning

Hello. It’s me. Caspian. Today I will tell you about our learning.

Maths: Currently in maths we are doing fractions and multiples. We are learning how to simplify fractions.

Literacy: We are making an information report on climate change and pollution, and I am nearly done with the general structure before I write it out!

Big Thursday: In Big Thursday one of our topics is art. We are trying perspectives and I am not good at those, so I am thankful for art. We also have STEM, where we are sewing. I’m not the greatest sewer but I think I class as average :). In PE we are doing Orienteering. When we set up a trail for people to find flags, when me and Jackson hid our flag, we put it in the P 1/3 play area as most people might not look in there. In computer science/literacy we strengthened our typing skills with BBC Dance Mat Typing, although I still use my way of typing as it allows me to write the best way I can.

Religious Education: In RE we had to pick a religion from the box and make some presentations of it with our partner. Me and Freddie would have done Christianity, as it is simple, but we got Buddhism which (on my scale) is second best. We have to make a poster, a diorama of an event in a Buddhist’s life, and a model of their place of worship.

That concludes one of today’s blogs. I will post another one later when I get home. Also there is a FNAF reference at the top. Bye!

Big Thursday

On Big Thursday there were 3 new Big Thursday actives Textiles/Fashion, Art and Computer science but different. First it was computer science, you would go on a computer to a BBC game where you would use your keyboard to practice how to type fast. The game learned us how to use the home row/ the middle keys we’ve gotten a lot better at typing.

Then after break was Art, we learned what a zero point perspective where you would be looking forward at mountains, trees, rocks and bridges, you would use shading, colouring, detail and distance, we were drawing the view of the mountains, trees, rocks and bridges everyone’s were very good.

Then after lunch, we did PE where we were doing Kiva, we played some games first funny faces and it. Then we did a map with a partner tracking the cones and counting the numbers in our heads to get the total number, Then a game with a partner where you need a partner to go first to stabilise the sheet to any number on the fence, then comeback and then you go but the same one your partner just went to. Then the last game where you needed to go everywhere to get all numbers around the school until time is up my partner and me didn’t get all of them but that is alright.

Then last of all is Textiles/Fashion, where at first we were starting with sowing for beginners cross stitch and the running stitch, it wasn’t easy for me you needed to use a kind of fabric used for sowing and using a needle to sow as well and then it was home time.

Learning

In class we have been learning about world religions. Olivia and me have been doing christian. we have learned that church may be open everyday but definitely a Sunday because Christians believe that Jesus rose from the dead on a Sunday. We had to make a poster and we found lots of facts in books and on the computer. We think it is very interesting and fun to learn about. On the poster we have to put an even amount of pictures and facts.

Learning!

Recently in school we have been doing religions, Firstly you had to pick a partner and do a puzzle sheet. Then Miss Dale wrote every religion and folded them up. After that every partner came and took one out not knowing which religion it was, When it came to my turn I picked out Christianity which was the one i wanted. Then Miss Dale gave us a task sheet with some things to do, There was a poster about the religion a diorama and a Model! And when we are finished we are showing it to the p1/3

HINDUISM

Hi, recently Ori and me   have been looking at the religion Hinduism and its really interesting. Miss Dale have given us a task sheet and we have to complete it and right now we are making a poster about Hinduism and its coming on quite well. Ori and I are a great partnership . We have some facts here’s one of them :

Did you know that Hindus believe that marriage is a sacred duty that god expects them to do?
