BIG THURSDAY AT HOLYWOOD!
Hello everybody. How are you all?
Last week was our first big Thursday of the year!
First we have computer science with Miss Pattie in which we are learning about digital literacy. We have already learnt the home row and how to type the E, R, I, U, T, Y, Q, P, O, W, V, M and me and Payton are just learning B and N with our fingers on the home row. We have been playing a game on BBC bite size called dance mat typing which helps you type faster but you have to keep your fingers on the home row keys. The game is super fun and I would recommend it to people struggling to type fast. Last week we also done a challenge that included typing questions into the keyboard. We still had to keep our fingers on the home row, however we were also sending each other emails, but they have to be appropriate. It’s really fun!
Next we have art with Miss Stapleton who is teaching us about 0 point perspective, 1 point perspective, 2 point perspective, 3 point perspective, 4 point perspective and 5 point perspective. This week we were focusing on 0 point perspective. We painted the English country side and i painted a waterfall surrounded by a canopy of trees. It’s great fun!
Then we have P.E with Mrs McNay. We are learning about orienteering and it’s really fun!
Lastly we have textiles with Mrs Jardine. We are focusing on stitching things and learning how to sow. we learnt the running stitch, the back stitch and the cross stitch. At the moment I am working on a book mark that says my cats names on it and I really like it!

Hello, I’m back to tell you about what we have been learning!
Over the past few weeks we have been learning about world religions with a partner. Me and my partner have been learning about Islam. We have made a poster and are part way through making a model of a mosque!
In maths we have been learning how to add and subtract fractions. We have been working out our new skills on Sumdog.
We are learning how to use Soundtrap which is a online music program. Someone called John comes in once every other week to teach us how to use the program!

Hello! It’s Caspian. Today I will tell you of our learning.
Math: In math we are doing fractions. We are looking at simplifying fractions and looking at equivalent fractions.
Spelling: In spelling… We’re doing spelling. I moved up a wordlist to number 26!
RE: In Religious Education, me and Freddy are making a model of a Buddhist temple.
PE: In Physical Education, we are doing orienteering.
Blogging: In blogging, I am writing this blog.
I guess that’s as much that I can think of that is coming onto this blog today. Sayonara. (I’m also INCREDIBLY interested in Japanese culture! I hope we can learn about that soon!)
All about my learning!
we are learning about world Religion we are making models and posters of their place of worship. Me and my partner are doing Sikhism so we are doing a model of Gurdwara. We are also going to do a dirama after our model we are also doing the inside of our model. on big Thursday we are sewing bookmarks in textiles it is really fun to design our bookmarks. We have learned how to do back stitch,cross stitch,running stitch.

For our world religion topic, we have all finished our posters, and are making a diorama or model in our partners.
As usual, we started the day with practising spelling, then we had a reading box card each, now most of us are blogging.
2 new pupils have joined the school.
In Maths we have been taught about simplifying fractions and stuff like that.
Last Friday we were finally able to go to the woods again! 😀
There were a lot of cut down trees still. We used some for our den.
On Thursday we had Digital Literacy with Miss Pattie, then Art with Miss Stapleton, then PE with Mrs McNay, then Textiles with Mrs. Jardine.
Also, we’ve been making things on Soundtrap, which is a really great music site!

At school we have recently learning about world religion. We have also been making posters about world religion in partners. Me and my partner are doing a poster about Islam. in maths we have been doing simplifying fractions and doing percentages I don’t like doing simplifying fractions or percentages.

On some Wednesdays we do sound trap 1pm to 3pm it is really fun we find the instrument we want on a computer then find the right tune and the right tone. We mix different instruments and music like jazz, rock, hip hop and pop. When we find a good instrument we can favorite it or use it in our song. There is lots of instruments and we can use any kind.

So these past few weeks we have been learning about religious studies and me and Erin have been learning about Buddha! It’s pretty fun, as we are dong things like posters and models, so it’s all good! 🙂
In maths we are learning about fractions and it’s… pretty fun actually! (Though a bit hard at times.) So ALSO I turned 11 on the 30th of January at 11:35pm! (Yay!) It is a bit weird as whenever someone asks how old I am I still say “10!” So it might need a bit getting used to! :/
I’m still learning about speaking dog, and right now I’m seeing what it means when they lie in a certain way!
Sound trap is really fun and it’s pretty fun as we get to make OUT OWN MUSIC! (Yes, I know you are jealous >:) Mwahahaha!) So Me and Lottie have made an AMAZING song and it’s SO good so far but we are still putting it together!

In the afternoon we are building models for the p1/3 for world religion me and my partner are building a outside of a mosques we had to make a poster first all about Islam the museums children go to the mosques because there teachers do not teach it in school and they believe in one god.
