Hello this is Tom, Anya and Lola today we are blogging about Week in the Woods. we are writing 5 sentences about each day of Week in the Woods, On Monday P1-4 made a Viking village out of mud and sticks. On Tuesday we ate S’mores and quesadilla we also made dens and sculptures Tom made his sculpture out of sticks, Anya made her sculpture out of sticks as well and Lola made her sculptures out of mud and sticks. On Wednesday we were finding minibeasts and then made a book about them. On Thursday we done a scavenger hunt and we had to find rocks, sticks and other things to do tasks we also played some games Thursday was camp over! On Friday we had breakfast at school we also got to choose what to do and we also weeded Himalayan Balsam for 1 hour then we got to play and then we made this blog post.5 words                                                                                                                                               Muddy

Hello this is Tom today I am going to tell you about the International Antarctic Centre. The International Antarctic Centre is in Christchurch where I am staying! I am staying with my Uncle and Auntie. Christchurch is one of the five cities in the world that is known as a ‘gateway to Antarctica’.Lots of explorers have traveled from Christchurch to Antarctica. We experienced an indoor Antarctic storm it went to – 18 degrees! We got to see real husky’s and we got to pet them. The husky’s were really friendly and they didn’t bark at all. There was an ice challenge were you put your hands into an ice pit and kept them in the pit for 1 minute.It was really cold! We went on a 4D experience 4D means it is 3D but you can get splashed with water and get blasted with wind into your face, even snow fell down from the ceiling. these are some photos ↓

Hello, today Tom and Rune are going to talk about our learning. Today we are going to talk about Maths, Writing, stem, big Thursday and our old topic. In maths Tom is going to talk about what he’s doing and then Rune is going to talk about his learning in maths. In Tom’s maths at the start we do a questions on our boards and it is fun! By the way that is not everything that we do. This is what Rune does. In maths Rune does, board games, sumdog, topmarks and questions on the board in our classroom they do dividing! Now we are talking about our old topic Hinduism. Tom and Rune both done our Hinduism god on Shiva. There are multiple gods and goddesses this is a photo –

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fun Facts Shiva is the creator of yoga and he is also the best dancer in the world. Our new Topic is human body.

Big Thursday- in big Thursday we do STEM, computer science, P.E and Art. It changes every term but the teachers switch sometimes. In STEM we do science that is what we mainly do like experiments. The experiments that we have done are what sink’s or floats in water and tension so we have a weight and we weigh different items to see if they stretch or not. Now we are going to talk about P.E. In P.E we do fitness and we do circuits of different exercises such as Plank, Burpees,  Jumping jacks and stuff like that. We do a warm up like a game of tag. In art we are working on shading. In computer science we work with robots. In writing we do a daily writing every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning.

Ingredients-parsnip, carrots, potatoes, leeks, stock cube and onion.

Equipment- spoon, knife, peeler, chopping board measuring bowl and pan.

steps-

1. wash your hands.
2. grab your vegetables knife peeler and chopping board.
3.  peel parsnips onion carrots and potatoes.
4. cut parsnips, carrots, potatoes, leeks and onions.
5. get a pan and put a little bit of oil in it.
6. sauté your onions into the pan.
7. put it on the hob.
8. boil water in a kettle and put the stock cube in the measuring bowl and the water goes in it to
9. put your vegetables in the pan then pour your water in to the pan.
10. cook for 20 minutes.
11. leave it to cool down
12. put it in a tub to contain it.

Yesterday we made rock buns and I really liked them and it was fun. we made it with flour. and we ate them really warm.

Hi Mrs Jardine it is Tom and Thomas here, we are just telling you what we have been doing at school, in school we have been baking most recently we have made rock cakes and we haven’t eaten them yet😁. we have also made pizzas, and they where tasty. In maths we have been doing a times tables circuit and we have been doing lollipop sticks, card matching game, Topmarks and a quiz with Miss Pattie.

hi Tom and Daisie here today, we are talking about learning at holywood school. First we are talking about french,  In french we have learnt how to have a conversation  we have also been learning numbers in french, next we are talking about maths, in maths we have been playing some maths games called buzz and splat in buzz you pick a times table and you go round in a circle saying buzz on the times table

Hi in class P4/5 we have played  Boccia. In P.E and it was fun! Boccia is a game is where you roll a jack which is a white ball, there are two different teams and the colours are red and blue it is a games which people with disabilities cause you just roll or throw balls to get closer to the jack

Hi today i am will be talking about my learning. First, I am talking about maths,  I am working on my 8 times tables and I can do them up to twelve. I am quite good at my 9  times tables and I am doing rounding. Next, literacy! In literacy we have been reading Charlotte’s Web. We have read all of the chapters up to chapter eleven. We are making a story board and we just need to finish them. Spelling – in spelling I am spelling word list 18. I am trying to move up a spelling word list.  P.E, in P.E we are doing tennis we have been working on our aiming, hitting, looking and  catching we have been playing some games too. Finally, I will be talking about music, in P 4-5 we have been doing Ram Tam and it is a thing when you do music it is like feis rois and they took  a harmonica with them.

hi Tom here today i will be talking about my learning first i will be talking about maths, in maths i have been doing times tables we have done up to the seven times tables we are going to do it up to twelve times tables and we are also playing some games one of them is called splat so you stand in a circle and the teacher says a maths question and you put your hand up if you know the answer and if you get it right you get to splat someone and if you get it wrong you get splat by the teacher and who ever is last wins now i am talking about literacy we have been going swimming which is taking up most of our literacy i do spelling lists and i am on spelling word list 18 and we have gone swimming 5 times now.
