Hello its Nia and today I am going to blog to you guys about Soundtrap. Soundtrap happens every Wednesday afternoon with two Soundtrap teachers called Roo and John. They teach us everything about Soundtrap and it’s awesome! Soundtrap is a music app where you can make podcasts and make your own tunes. It is fun! Every Soundtrap session we do something different or carry on with unfinished work. We have a great time! We have also made stories with microphones and special effects. And since we have done other things in between the sessions I made lots of my own music and today I am going to show you what it sounds like.

I am the person at the front left doing raft building.
On Wednesday Holywood primary and Duncow primary school went on a P5-7 residential visit at Rock UK for 3 days and 2 nights. We done lots of activities while we weir on our visit. Activities including Raft building, Stream walk, kayaking, open canoeing, Zip line, Abseiling and much more to be said.
Wednesday was the day that we arrived at Rock UK we travelled in a couch bus with Duncow primary school. Once we arrived at Rock UK, we had an instructor tell us what Rock UK is about and the rolls to Rock UK. Then we got into our cabins and chose what bed we are going to stay in droning our visit. As soon as we had our lunch, put our bags in our cabin, got put into our activity groups, and got ready for the first activity we then headed to our first activity.
Raft building was my group’s first activity. It was awesome! We had 7 in a group for raft building and I had Mena, Nancy, Anneliese, Grace, McKenna and Becky in my group. We built our raft using 6 logs and 4 barrels while we were building our raft, we used excellent team work! After we had built it we done lots of challenges with our raft. It was extraordinary!
Next we had open canoeing, my partner was Anneliese we had a blast. We had to wear a bouncy aid, helmet and water shoes. We wear really well at steering the boat in different directions because we listen well to each other. After a short time of games we then done a challenge, the challenge was to sit at the edge of the boat and see how far we could lift our boat. I fell in! I was in the water while Anneliese was dry sitting in the boat. I couldn’t stop laughing!
Then it was time for dinner we had lasagne. It was delicious! I had 2 big porches I said a huge thank you to the cook. After we had pudding and pudding was vanilla ice cream with strawberry sauce. It was yummy!
Eventually it came to our last activity of the day and it was a big scavenger hunt witch was hard and low ropes witch is basically a big obstacle cores. I enjoyed it! My groups name for the scavenger hunt was the collie dogs we worked well as a team. In the low ropes you have to wear a helmet but it was good because we didn’t need an instructor.
Last of all it was supper we were all in our pj’s and went down to the kitchen to have a hot chocolate and a biscuit. It was nice! Also we counted up all our points from the scavenger hunt. We done well!
Then it came to bed time some of us did not get that much sleep and some got lots but we all did get at least some sleep. That’s the end of Wednesday good bye.

What clubs do you have after school? I do swimming and Horse riding.
what did you get up to in the holidays? I done lots of things but one of them was my mums baby shower. It was awesome!
What is your favourite sport? (other than the sports you already do) Ice skating.
On Big Thursday in Outdoor Learning our class P6/7 made maps on paper of 5 check points of the Beach Woods. We started at the first check point that we wanted to start at on our maps. Then we used the trundle wheels to measure to each check point and counted up all of the meters to then draw on to our maps in centre meters. We drew out each check point to make it clear where to go through on our map.
Last big Thursday in computer science we used a coding app called Hour of code. The first game we played was called Computit . It was so fun and easy at first but as we did more and more it got tricky and trickier. But then we got to explore more of there coding games. Lots of people in the class played a game that you could make your own music it was similar to Sound Trap .We had so much fun I hope we do some more coding next week.
Hello today we are going to blog about the Hazspeed’s face reveal!!! The Hazspeed’s face reveal is were Hazspeed reveals his face!!!🤣🤣But only 2 people have witnessed this face reveal. Hazspeed is a Fortnite player and the face reveal is basically him revealing his face and in the actual reveal he wears a sort of bear hood from a onesie and the people who actually saw this only saw his chin and the top of his hood that has ears. He his doing another face reveal tonight!!!🤣
Hello today I am going to write to you about my Christmas .
On Christmas you have to leave biscuits and milk out for Santa and his reindeers so that is what my family did late at night on xmas eve. In the morning me and my brother woke up really early we woke up at 5:00 in the morning we woke up a bit too early so are stepdad and mum told us to go back to bed for 15 mins then we can see what Santa brought for us. When it was time to get up we opened are doors and there where big stocking hanging on are doors we bout them to are parents room to see what we got and then we all went to the living room to open all of are presents I was so happy because I got a iPhone 14 and my brother got boxing gear we got lots of others to. In the afternoon some of my family came round my uncle and ant, my grandma came and my grandpa came round as well we hade Xmas lunch and opened lots more presents and then everyone went home and me and my brother my mum and my stepdad we all had Christmas dinner it was so yummy I ate lots. My 4 favourite presents where my very long mirror ,my air pods, my Dr martens and my iPhone 14 .
Hello it is Nia telling you about p6/7s journey of food posters.
For the past compel of weeks p6/7 have been learning about a particular food and researching the journey of the particular food .For example how a pineapple gets to South America all the way to us in the UK .We got split into pears and chose a food that dose not grow in are contrary. Me and my partner did the journey of a pineapple.We explained how a pineapple grows and how it is treated in South America. Then, we showed how it gets washed until its good to eat.And lastly ,we said how it is transported to us in the UK.
