Some work from the last few days

Hi there
Rory here – just wanted to share some bits of work from the last week.
We have been learning about living and non-living things.  We did the task about the aliens using the classification key. We also watched a couple of different videos on what makes something a living thing. We then did our posters. This is mine.

We also a drew picture for French of a house to name all the rooms.

I’m still reading the Twits at the moment. I’ve also completed my Sumdog maths challenge about money. We are just about to go a walk now to spot some things that would make a good bug hotel.
Hope everyone is well. Bye for now 🙂
Rory.

My review of The Enormous Crocodile

Rory’s review of The Enormous Crocodile
Author : Roald Dahl
Favourite Character : Muggle-Wump
Why? : Because he’s a monkey
Favourite Part : When the Enormous Crocodile bites Trunky

Did you like how it ended? Yes, the ending was funny!
Overall thoughts on the book : The book was very good. I enjoyed it because of all the beautiful colours in the pictures. There was funny bits, for example when Trunky launched the crocodile in the air, that I really enjoyed.

Back to home school

Hey everyone, It’s Rory!
In the Easter holidays I did a lot of relaxing. I played a lot of my favourite games and spent time outside in my garden. I also went a few walks.  I got lots of tasty Easter eggs on Easter Sunday and still have some left.
It was also Cleo’s birthday in the holidays. I got a little present too – a NowTV stick for my TV.
I finished The Enormous Crocodile and really enjoyed it. During literacy this morning I started reading the Twits. Mrs Twit has a glass eye and she played a trick on Mr Twit with it – I won’t say too much so I don’t spoil it! I also practiced spelling words and wrote sentences using them. Now time for some maths.
Hope everyone had a good Easter.
Bye for now.

Spanish and other things!

Hi everyone, it’s Rory.

The last few days we did a bit of Spanish. We did the family picture and I’ve put the picture below. My mummy also made us watch a video of one of her favourite singers called Juanes when he was on Sesame Street. He sings in Spanish and he taught us how to say move, head, hands and feet. (Search on YouTube Juanes Sesame Street if you want to learn too!)

I’ve been reading the Enormous Crocodile by Roald Dahl. He’s very cheeky and sneaky! I will finish it today.

I’ve been doing quite a bit of Sumdog and even had a go at some of the coding tasks on code.org.  We’ve been doing a lot of art too. Today I’m hoping to go into my garden and draw with my big chalks and also do some maths.

bye for now
Rory
