what is ration challenge?

Ration challenge is where you get in a partner or group and make food for a family of four with food that would of been rationed in world war 2

what to do before you start

in the ration challenge you don’t just start cooking stuff first you need a plan what I mean by that is right what you need and what your making on a piece of paper

what i done

I was partners with jullien and what we done was potatoes carrots eggs and pigs in blankets personally we thought it was good but i dont know if anybody else did.

Hi its Rory and Im gonna be talking about my learning

Yesterday (13/02/23) we started making model spitfires and Messerschmitt from ww2 to put up on the wall as display i havent got that much progress done because Im kinda struggling.

The whole class got a ww2 novel to read mine is called the amazing story of Adolphus Tips but when i finish that im gonna read another one that i dont know the name of.

world war II

This term we are doing world war 2 and this is what we have done so far

The first thing we done was a poster about Adolf Hitler that had to have a portrait of him.

We then learnt about how the war started and now we have war preparation tasks and these are them: exact replica of identity card blackout information leaflet 3 gas mask drawing with labels and make a gas mask that has to fit you 3 different air raid shelters poster and make 1 exact model.

Hi its Rory and I’m gonna talk about big Thursday!

 

Here’s a list of the things we are doing its gonna be the usual one where i do them from worst to best.

1.Stem with Miss Patterson I don’t like this because its confusing and it makes my brain turn into spaghetti.

2.Art with Miss Jarden  I do not enjoy art because its hard to get the fonts on the things were drawing perfect.

3.Computer science with Miss Pattie the reason i put this here is because its fun working together with partners because its more funny and i just like Lego we do.

4.Now for the last one drumroll please p.e with Miss Mcnay i love p.e because because what we are doing is badminton which you need throwing skills for and i enjoy throwing stuff i guess.

Hi today we are going to talk about the lion king school show.

This is a picture of Scar hitting Mufasa of the rock in the gorge this is one of the most dramatic scenes in the show.

This was very cool.

 

This is Simba running for his life away from the wildebeest before Mufasa comes and saves him.

 

This was a very fun scene to do and we loved it

 

 

This is the first scene in the whole show and its where Scar is capturing his lunch.

This scene has scar 2 mice Zazu and Mufasa in it.

Hi its Rory and I’m gonna talk about the school show

 

This years school show is the lion king and I got the role of scar the main antagonist of the show I feel a bit scared because this is my first big speaking part.

Recently we have been learning some of the songs like circle of life.

I have a song that I mostly sing o my favourite song is probably I’m gonna be a mighty king because its just that type of song that’s really good but you don’t know why.

 

 

Hi its Rory and Im going to talk about health week!

day 1. On the first day of health week i done painting rocks and yoga the yoga was a bit unorganised because all we done was done gymnastics poses i recommend next time we all sit on the floor with a leader on the front and we copy the leader.i painted the rock as Deadpool.

day 2. On day 2 i done p.e to be honest it was one of the most tiring p.es ever we play dodge ball it games and capture the flag

day 3. On the third day we went on a walk around the usual bike breakfast walk i was walking with Ramani Carson and little Cody i told little Cody there was a private jet i bought waiting at school but when we got there i had to say it flown away that walk was fun and funny.

day 5. On the fifth day i made fruit kebabs my favourite thing on the kebab was the apple.

like normal im going to say all the subjects who dose them and what ones my favourite

1.miss Mcnay is doing drama not my favourite but i like it.

2.miss Stapleton for music its getting close to being my favourite

3.miss Pattie dose p.e and we are doing gymnastics its so close to being my favourite

and the last one is computer science with miss Jarden! my favourite

 

maths

in maths we have been learning the properties of shapes and the types of lines for example perpendicular lines and quadrilateral shapes.

 

and for stuff we have just been doing is learning about Africa its really fun and we are currently making a big map of Africa for the wall in the hall

recently we have been learning about ww1 you would know that if your p6/7 or read p6/7 blogs yesterday i was finishing of my world war 1 poster and i started making a German stick grenade so far i just have 2 rolls of paper but i feel like its gonna be good. i think were doing world war 2 after the October holidays.

in maths im currently learning my 7 times table and divides im not that good at divides but i think ill get the hang of them by February.

hello! it is Rory and today im telling you all about BIG Thursday in holy wood (obviously).

on big Thursday we have

Miss Pattie for art. in art we have been doing Roy Lichtensteins art style where you draw a big close up of someones face and to colour them in you put a bunch of little dots.

 

we have Miss stapleton in drama and we have been doing the story of Theseus and the labyrinth. we play a game called shaky murder i think and its really fun so what you do is you get a card with a circle on it BUT one card has an x and if you get the x that means your the murderer so basically everyone walks around and shakes peoples hands and if the murderer rubs your hand with their thumb while shaking your hand you have to shake 2 more peoples hand then your dead.

then we do outdoor learning with Miss mcnay this is not my favourite subject because i find it kinda hard but what we have been doing is practicing tieing and we made a catapult and a dream catcher

 

and last we have p.e with Miss Jarden i enjoy pe we do stuff like throwing and catching and striking with a bat my favourite game to play in p.e is rounders i absolutely love it.
