during the holidays i went to the Falkirk kelpies. we never stayed in till night because it takes ages to get back home. we still got to see them light up though.  me and my family went to see a house my great granddad build by himself it is a small stone cottage with not much of an interior. i also went to my friends birth day party. i also met up with my friends quite a lot.

Today we were making healthy snacks like berry swirl,  banana ice cream, crunchy chickpeas, white been dip, protein dip, frittata muffins and rye bread with almond butter and banana. I enjoyed the berry swirl and Kaitlyn liked rye bread with almond butter and banana the most.

 

 

In break time we have been building a huge den out of pallets. We started with a wall made out of pallets then we put two tarps over the top. then we made bigger and bigger until it was about ten meters wide. we have a huge tree inside  that we use as a look out tower to spot teachers. when we expanded it we had two look out trees. It also has a pallet that has a big hole in it do look out of if we have enemy’s coming. there is also a war horn used to warn people just before there is a battle.

At holywood we do somthing called big thursday. In big thursday we do four subjects out door learning , computer scince , PE and drama and story telling.

COMPUTER SCINCE

In comuter scince we do somthing called scratch. Sratch is a coding website. On our last subject we learned how to make a game. There was three types of games we could make a pong game , clicker game and a chase game. I made a chase game. There is two charecters a chaser and a runer alot of people liked it.

OUT DOOR LEARNING

Last thursday in out door learning we went up the woods. We already had a den up there. we made a huge fence around it there is more than one den in the fence.  There is two dens and a shop in the fence.  our den Is primary 5/7 ONLY. We are at war with an other den.

DRAMA AND STORY TELLING

In drama and story telling we were learning scotish myths , telling them and acting the out. We were learnig a story about a boy named asypattel the story is about a sea monster invading the kindom and the boy asypattel saved the kindom.

PE

In PE we are learning how to play hockey we were mainly learn hocky skills we have recenlty been playing hocky games me and my team win most of them. There is five in each team.

At Holywood we have been making Rube Goldberg contraptions. Rube Goldberg made pointless inventions some of them had hamsters , burning wicks and tennis balls just to turn the page on a news paper. Me and my friend are making one that has a marble run ,domino run and a watering can just to fill a cup of water. We’re not allowed to use any source of fire.

At our school we have Big Woodland Break for an hour at the end of every Friday. I was making a bridge out of sticks and logs with my friends  across a really big puddle. The bridge is still very unstable, the puddle is up to my knees with mud, just about. Favourite subject. My favourite thing to do is build dens.

 

 

 

 

At our school we have been learning about ancient Scotland and clans. We built dens only out of natural resources. We were in clans to build our dens. My clan built a TP.

During lock down me and my family have been keeping busy. Me and my sister have our moments but most of the time we get along. We have been going out on walks and bike rides every day. We have been keeping good care of our pets a horse , cat and puppy. It’s hard looking after a puppy during lock down. My cat sleeps in my room and my sister’s mattress has recently been moved to my room. My horses name is jumbo and he is 25 years old.

Today me and grace have been preparing glowing crystals. They will take aproxlimently 72 hours to grow. they don’t look like much  but they still need time to grow. Crystals are a solid fibre that is made up of a repeating pattern of geometric shapes is known a crystal. Did you know a crystal is made from when a liquid cools and hardens.

This is the end that me my dad and my sister have made. As you can see it is a two story den.
