This week we have been making WW2 planes! we had a choice between a Spitfire or a Messerschmidt. I chose the Messerschmidt because i like the word ans the sound of the word. The spitfire is the British plane and the Messerschmidt is the German one. So far i have done the body and the wings of the plane. It looks like a seagull but i haven’t finished it yet.
I also finished my WW2 novel so i need to map the story out and start my new one. I just finished The Amazing Story Of Adolphus Tips and i have moved on to Number Of the Stars. i haven’t started yet but hopefully its good.

its about a 12 year old girl in world war 2. And she has a cat named Tips. Her whole village had to move out within 7 weeks because the army needed places to practise landing their planes. to their uncle Georges farm. But as they are packing up to leave Tips ran away. Lily looked everywhere until this American solider found Tips and brought her back to lily.
This term our topic is now WWII, I have really enjoyed WWII so far. were working on war preparations to learn more about the second world war, Were creating leaflets, Gasmasks, air raid shelters and the blackout. right now I’m working on the blackout task. I’m making a leaflet about it I’m also finding it really interesting. Did you know that you would be heavily fined if you had light coming from your house? This was because it would make it harder for enemy bombers to find their next targets. Lampposts were also turned off and car headlights would be covered except for a narrow slit.

This is the first full week back from the Christmas holidays. We have started to do WW2 as our topic. We have started by making Adolf Hitler posters with a partner.
I still have my African art to do but i think i might finish that today but i don’t know. i probably wont do the painting because the flour and water mixture dry. Drawing the animal that your going to do is really hard because it needs to be the right size and whenever i draw it its always to big.
But i’m exited to to the flour and water part. It is when you trace your drawing really hard on paper over fabric then put a flour and water mixture on the lines. Then you use fabric paint over the flour and water. Then when you wash it off there will be no flour and water the fabric paint wouldn’t have covered the part where the flour and water was.

I auditioned very good and i…………GOT THE PART. i got it with my two friends were all playing hyenas i’m Shenzi Payton is Banzai and Ori is Ed. I’ve been practising everyday! I’m so exited the show is in two weeks! its very close! were all working very hard on the songs but its tricky because some of the songs have a bit of African. But i’m really enjoying it! Rehearsal week is in a week! i’m really nervous but exited at the same time incase i mess up or forget my lines. but hopefully that wont happen because i will practise until they are engraved into my brain.
But this is the last week were doing maths until the show is over so kinda a plus? ALSO SINCE I DID ALL OF MY HOMEWORK I GOT 15 MINUTES EXTRA PLAYTIME! SO I GOT TO LEAVE MATHS 15 MINUTES EARLY!!

So it is Tuesday. And today we did……..AUDITIONS! for the lion king 2 of my friends auditioned for the hyenas it was really fun i learnt the lines off by heart. I JUST REALLY HOPE I GET THE PART! I’m really exited!!!! So on Friday we get Mrs McNae forgive me if i spelt that wrong but we did poems about the seas on the moon?? i really enjoyed it i did it on the sea of rain if i remember correctly. ALSO THE SHOW IS IN LIKE… 4 WEEKS!! i’m really exited to see what i’m being!! In our Africa topic we have watched a little video about the rain forest in Cameroon and the people there. I’m in the middle of making a poster all about it. I sill need to add a bit of information and colour draw a few pictures then i am DONE!

So this week we are starting a personal project about five animals in Africa. I chose Giraffe, zebra, Ostrich, Lion and cheetah. I decided to do a poster to display my information about those animals

So number 1 is since our new topic is Africa we made a HUGE map of Africa to go on the wall and it took forever but it was worth it in the end!! :DDD And we also are learning about the African animals and have to pick 5 to make a poster on and mine are gonna be a SURPRISE so that when I put them on the blog it’ll be like a nice wee surprise. :)))

so last week i found out that the new school show is LION KING! i don’t know who im going to be but i kinda want to be a giraffe because i love giraffes. I’m really exited to audition but at the same time nervous because the whole school sits in a circle in the hall and you need to stand in the middle of the circle and audition its creepy when every one is watching you. I’m still exited. since we are also doing Africa as our topic we are all making an Africa wall display so we split up into groups and we are all doing a strip. in this strip there is about 6 boxes the boxes add up to one piece of A4 paper.We all did or still doing Billy Stevens Newspaper front pages i finished mine ill show you a picture! ( sorry its sideways!)
