On big Thursday we had a new teacher come in to the school called Mrs Renno and she does drama and storytelling.In drama we had to stand in a circle and say our name with an action!She also told us a story about a boy named Assypattel and he defeated this giant sea serpent!we also done computer science with Miss Pattie we done animations on scratch because it has alot of cool tools that we can use to make animations! Me and orlas one had rainbow flying cat.

Last big Thursday we were doing art with Miss Pattie. In art we are doing different things like Koi fish and the Northern lights.
Each week we are doing something different from a different country or place, its pretty fun actually. We`re using chalk pastels right now for all the pieces of art. We also did chameleons on the first week, we had to use very very bright colours. My one was neon yellow,neon orange and neon green. We also put big patterns on them; mine was bright and stripey. Today at school a really nice lady came in to school to show us a graphic novel she and her friend Mike made.It was called “Strange Visitor” she came and read it to us and then we made our own comics.Mine was about to cats fighting then one ends up eating the other for tea! When she read it she read it without the book first and done lots of actions like wiggly jiggly hips and stomping feet and then she did it with the book and it was slightly different because there was a cat in it but he didn’t speak it was like a main character but it didn’t speak it was just always in the pictures of the book ,Me and my friend named the cat Mr Floof!,the book was about an old lady and her cat in a little cottage then a big hairy monster comes and they eat him for tea. Since we came back to school the whole school has been learning about Mesolithic Scotland.When our topic came to an end we had a big clan meet to finish it off.The clan meet started as the clans where walking up and down the hills like a parade with miss Stapleton drumming.Once the parade finished the clans sat down in a giant circle around a fire we started off with each clan performing a drama scene,dance routine or drumming routine.After that we had some competitions the competition where running and archery.Next we dropped letters we made in the fire for the fire spirits they said things like “give us luck fire god” or “give us warmth in the winter fire gods”.After that we did some other things like chanting and stuff. On Monday miss Dale told us that she had been working with some other teachers from different schools to prepare a science class that each one of them where going to teach there class so on Monday the other teachers came to watch us in our science class.The science class was called Desert island dilemma.It was about decontaminating water with only certain supplies such as rocks,sand,pop socks and some cotton wool.We had to conduct a FAIR test which quite a lot of us didn’t do well we all made multi layer filters that made the water quite clean but it still wasn’t decontaminated. We had taken all of the big pieces of mud out but there was still little particles of germs in the water. whilst trying to decontaminate the water we also had to conserve the water in the bottles we were given we also done our experiments in beakers and made our filters in the funnels we were given.Me and Cleo got ours quite clean when our time was up. On Thursday we done some drama with miss Stapleton. We had to make up a murder story for our characters we made up the week before i made up the mysterious Rose Evergarden.It was based on a fancy dinner party on all these different guests like Adam venture and Miles O`naire he was the earl the most important person if you don`t know who the earl is he or she is the host of the dinner party. After we finished practising in our groups the murder scene we performed them in front of the class my groups was wine poisoning after that we went for lunch. by Josie
On Friday our whole school went to a Victorian village called new Lanark it took over an hour to get there. When we got there we had our snack then split into p1-3 and p4-7 firstly i went to Robert Owens school for children we had to write the Victorian alphabet. It was very much like ours just a bit different secondly we done a history lesson about a crocodile it wasn’t real though then we did some dancing said our goodbyes and was off to the Annie McLeod experience it was very good . 
Last Friday the the whole school went on a trip to Ellisland farm for our topic. As soon as we got off the bus we were back into our groups. First my group went into the granary to see a mini movie of what life was like on a farm back when Robert Burns was alive after that we got pieces of paper with animals that we had to find on it. by Josie
Today we had sports day there were lots of races such as the sprint race ,egg and spoon race and a skipping race. Lots of parents showed up we nearly ran out of seats my mum showed up to.The first half of sports day was the competitive half. Once that half was finished we stopped to have an ice lolly and talk to our parents they had a cup of tea. After that we done sports with our parents which was the other half of sports day there was the welly throw , beat the goalie and ping pong. When sports day was finished we all said bye to our parents and that was sports day finished. by Josie
Today we were making burgers for burger night there were three different types of burgers. The first type of burger was the turkey burger. The turkey burger smelt amazing. The second type of burger was the beef burger. The beef burger. The beef burger was the easiest burger to make because you basically just put the mince into the bowl and sprinkled ground white pepper and salt on it. The third and final one was the veg burger the veg burger was the hardest because they were really wet and hard to shape. by Josie
