Abigail has been working hard on her home learning this week. She has created 2 amazing pieces of art work and has written a set of instructions on how to make a paper airplane. Maybe some of you would like to have a go at making one? She has also been working hard on her numeracy work. Well done Abigail. Can’t wait to see you at school on Monday!

This afternoon in the hub we designed characters and products to help us with hand hygiene.

Here are some of our designs. Have any of you at home tried this task yet?

This afternoon in the hub we worked on the Horrid Hands Experiment. We found that washing our hands with cold water didn’t remove a lot of the cinnamon (harmful microbes), washing our hands with warm water was slightly better but the best and most hygienic way was to use both warm water and soap.

Thanks to Dakota for being our photographer during the experiment. Here are some of our action shots…

Hi everyone, Hope you have all had a great day of home learning!

Here are some photos of us working hard in the hub today. We are really looking forward to seeing you guys soon!

Speaking of mould… look what I just found in the back of my cupboard! An extremely mouldy lemon. I think it has been hiding in there for a couple of weeks!! 🍋

Hi everyone. It’s Friday again!

Your new Health and Wellbeing task is on all learning pages. It has a World Book Day theme today.

I have also added an easy chocolate chip cookie recipe to the cooking club recipe page. You only need 4 ingredients for it and most of them you might already have at home.

Thank you for all your hard work in school, in the hub and at home this week! Have a good day Team Holywood. 🙂

This afternoon we set up our Kitchen Investigators Microbes experiment using slices of bread. We also made predictions about what we think will happen after 2 weeks.

Hi everyone. What have you all been working on today?

We started the morning with Literacy here in the hub. Some of us worked on travel brochures, some wrote wee books on how to brush our teeth and some researched facts about famous walls. Next we moved onto Numeracy. Special shout outs to Kye, Orla, Dakota and Liam for their super work- see photos!

This afternoon we went for a walk and worked on our photography skills. We will post our photos tomorrow. Finally, we finished off the day by beginning our e-Bug IDL project.

Hope you have all had a good day today! 🙂

Here is Larsson’s fantastic wee book!

Kye has worked on a fab wee book today!
