Book Review On What Not To Do When You Turn Invisible By Ross Welford
The main character is Ethel Letherhead and her mum has died and she lives in a house with her granny. Ethel has acne skin problems and they have being trying to get is to go away for ages. One day Ethel goes to pop into the skin tanning place and the lady says she’s going to throw away an old tanning bed that still works so Ethel and her friend Elliot Boyd take it down to her house because the lady let them have it for free but Ethel’s gran would probably not let her keep it so she kept it secret, also Ethel has found a new thing she could try to stop her acne. It’s called Dr. Chang his skin so clear. And on the packet it’s all Chinese accept from a label that says DO NOT OVER DOSE. She however ignored that and took loads. its tasted HORRIBLE. She then went on the sun bed but fell asleep! This seemed to…MAKE HER INVISIBLE! That was just the start of her adventures!
I really liked this book because it’s sort of an adventure that you don’t know what will happen next, really!

By Rhona (Just in case you’re wondering its for the dog and me 🙂
Hi Rhona is back i’m just blogging because I have noticed there have been a lot of birds in my garden recently like:
Robins, Great tits, Blue tits, Sparrows tree and house ones, Tree creepers, Starlings, Green Finches, Wood Peckers, Siskins, Redpolls, Blackbirds, Wood pigeons, Wrens, Collared doves, Pheasants, SEAGULLS! I know and we are in the country! I don’t like seagulls! None of them have come to the bird feeders recently so that’s lucky, Crows, Chaffinches, Dunnocks, Long tailed tits. And Coal tits.
sometimes in the summer we get house sparrows and in 2018 a house sparrows nest fell down and the chicks fell down off of the house and there was only one survivor sadly :(. We kept it and called it sam because we didn’t know if it was male or female. We fed sam and took care of him until he went to the wild life hospital. Here are 2 pictures of him.

Seeing The Bats On The Second Day Of Going To The Woods
After we had been to the woods mum wanted to see the den so we took her and the dog down. We went off to our little campsite and we showed her the den that we had built out of sticks at the edge of a tree. We then took her back to the campsite to see it again and as we did it we saw some bats. We lay down and watched them. They were very cool. When they fly it looks like they are big butterfly’s. When we looked up mum tried to take photos of the bats. It turns out they are NOT easy to take photos of. When I looked across to Charlie I saw this strange thing…it was like a fox but it was only Selkie.

Rhona And Charlie’s prank
Me and Charlie were little we did 1 prank on people. Just one we thought would work on them. We would open the door slightly and put a pillow at the top, and balance it. And then we would tell mum and dad that there had been a tea party and they were invited! And they would come in before me. Once they went in the pillow would fall on them and they would get it on their head! After that say hahahaha if they are wondering where the tea is and they are sad there is none, just make them some will ya?
(Tip) If your mum and dad say you go first than say you go first. If they get suspicious than just say I will drink all of the tea and eat all the biscuits if they don’t go in first.(How to avoid this) Always look at the top of the door and see if there is a pillow at the top. If there is open the door with your foot or your hand and don’t go in. Once it has fallen go through you may go.

My Second Trip To The Woods
I told you about my first trip to the woods (Which was yesterday) now I will tell you about my second trip to the woods (Which is today.) I explained what the woods looked like and how you get to my and Charlie’s den. Today me and Charlie went together (only us again) and went to the den. there is something I forgot to mention for the last post, but when we got to the woods yesterday we wanted to make the fire so Charlie asked me to get his survival kit. Now back to today we remembered the kit this time but once we got there we made the fire again in the same circle, but now we both knew what we were thinking. DAMPERS! Dampers are a kind of bread you cook on a fire and they are SOOO YUMMY WITH JAM! So he sent me away to make damper doh at the house and bring it back. How you make dampers is you get warm water and pour it into plain flour and mix it up with your hands. Mum let me take oranges, peanuts, the doh, and JAM! Charlie had came home and we both walked back. Me and Charlie had two dampers with jam each and an orange and peanuts. After that we went to climb trees and found ourselves making a den for the kids ONLY. (maybe an adult too.) We jumped over the mud and sometimes going through it to get sticks for the den. There was a little burrow at the foot of the den and we imagined the a pine Martin lived there and tried to take blankets and table cloths from us to keep warm. We went home because we thought mum was telling us to come because the dog was barking like CRAZY. seriously, it was SOOOO loud you could hear it from a mile away! it turns out her friend came, the post man.

Going To The Woods
Twice I went down the woods near my home with Charlie and made a fire with him. I’ll tell you what the woods look like. It has a BIG slope with all sorts of burrows and holes, if you head down that way you will see a little bridge and go across. Once you are there you will see a log, jump over it and go straight forward. Next you will see a little dark path made of dirt, you go down the path and head left, then you will see a little fire circle, logs and tree stumps. Those are what you sit on. There. Now I will tell you about what we did. Yesterday we made the fire. Charlie struck the flint and steel until the sparks caught fire. And if you are wondering yes we did do this with no one else other than with me and my brother. We had a little play, after a while we invited dad and my dog. My dog’s name is Selkie, she had a great time exploring the woods and ignoring the apple cores we gave her. Dad quite loved the sort of camping area, but was worried we had made it too close to the pheasants feeders. we told mum and showed her a picture. She said it was fine. She couldn’t come because she was doing her back exercises. I’ll tell you the second trip to the woods in an other post.
