My long weekend!

Hi this is Daisy, on Saturday I tried to make the churros again except this time it was more liquid than dough and when we put it in the hot oil it was just random shapes!            During that day I finished one of my biggest books and started on another new Netflix series! And Saturday my mom went shopping and as a treat I asked for something new to try from another country, and a pretzel! Personally the pretzel was too salty, and the second item was this thing were you learn how to make sushi from home! So excited to make sushi 🍣, not to mention I’m also nearly finished on translating my list into Japanese! Talking about spelling lists I have a question on what to do when you reach list 32? Currently very close!

Thanks for reading Daisy.                                                                           Sorry if it seems rushed!

Something I Have Learned!

Hi during quarantine lots has happened and I have learned so many new backing recipes! I recently found out how to make doughnuts and churros both equally delicious! On the first week of quarantine I made twenty four vanilla cupcakes! My sister made two cakes both of them were vanilla, one of my neighbours got ill (not because of covid 19) and was rushed to hospital so we made her cupcakes and wrote a get well card. All in all my favourite thing to make was actually a gotcha pork roast which is mashed potatoes with bacon wrapped around it, most people add onions or other vegetable but I kept it simple! Lastly since I was stuck inside I melted mini marshmallows over a candle!

HomeSchool

Being home schooled is so different than going to school with other class mates, getting used to this new style of learning has been such a challenge and yet at the same time it’s exhilarating. As fun as it is at home, I can’t help but miss real school! Personally I think that the hardest part of being home schooled is waking up. When at home I feel like we have a longer chance to research up more on the subject, recently I made a leaflet on Salvador Dali! I also got to try make a Rocket stove, sadly the wood did not burn as well but it was still fun! My mother printed out geography sheets, so I learn more about exotic country’s. My dad help teach me more about natural disasters and then man made one’s. Since I have all the time in the world, when doing spelling workout I am also translating my list into Japanese! It honestly takes for ever but in someway it is still really fun, oh and at the same time I have made up my own language with emoji’s and symbols. Well have a good day!

So bored!

Hello it’s Daisy, being locked in all I can do is listen to pod casts and rearrange my room. It may be the weekend but all I want to do is to go back to school! The internet keeps turning off randomly, leaving me stuck in my room. Although I think cooking or trying new food/desserts is always interesting to do! Sadly I have a cold but still trying to stay positive. Reading books is okay but I prefer watching Netflix while inside, although I do still try to get more exercises inside. Does anyone have any ideas for interesting activities, because I’m so bored! I guess it’s fun looking after my indoor plants, but not talking to everyone from school or just “normal” people! Drawing landscapes from outside my window in something I like to do in my morning, practice makes perfect!

Holywood Science

On Monday the second of March Holywood seniors produced there own experiment! The students worked in partners of two, each pair had a bottle of dirty water that they had to attempt at purifying. The students had three different materials such as… One Pop Sock, Gravel, Cotton And lastly One handful of sand. Using the materials they had, they tested each one of there materials individually and fairly. in conclusion most students believed that cotton proved more useful in this situation, although a small group of students thought that the pop socks were even better. Near the end of the experiment the students tested some of the materials together, the cotton and pop socks seemed more useful than the rest!
