Art today

We have art every week on a wedensday  with miss starki today we did painting and blending colours. First we got a bit of a4 paper and done our plans we then got different kinds of flowers that were printed out of the printer and we got to choose the one we would like to draw and then paint. I picked a nice blue one. Then miss starki gave us a big bit of paper and you had to pick which number of flowers you would like to have on your picture out of 1 or 2 I picked one big one in the middle of my paper. And then once you had finished drawing your flower you had to paint them. The people who were doing blue had to put light blue on first then you had to put on dark blue and finnaly you blend them together next week we will do the pollen bit of the flower and maybe even leaves!

The latest newsround!!!

Newsround today was about a lot of things starting with jet Man.

Have you ever wondered what it is like to fly like a bird? Meet jet Man. There is a man with jet propelled wings and everybody calles him jet man. You have to move your body left to turn left you have to turn your body right to turn right.

A lamb has been born in whales called Jake and he has 5 legs  but he is just fine and he is prancing around like all lambs do.

There is a frog in Cameroon that is nearly extinct and they have been born in London at London zoo we are hoping that there habitats will rise over the years and they will not become extinct.

The lynx a kind of big cat has been realised into the wild and everybody is having a debate to see if we should keep them out in the wild or not.

We did the newsround quiz of the week we got 7/10 which is not a bad score I thought we would get them all correct but we did not.

In Nepal there has been an earthquake and many people have lost homes and lifes. Some countries are sending aid (stuff they need) like: tents, food, water, and clothes. And the famous mount everist has had lots of avalanches. 17 people have been kilt on Everest and over 3,000 people died because of the earthquake.

  • On the reading challenge you have to complete ten books and do ten challenges for them all. When you have finished reading a book the you have to ask a teacher to do your gimme10 some large books are worth 2 points and little books are worth 1 point. I have read all ten books and completed ten challenges ( and most of them were blogs) so I got to slide down the water slide and I am now going to have a fun water day and get a free ice cream and the worst part will be everybody watching me and maybe Kye having fun.

IMG_0512

On 20/3/2015 there was an eclipse.  Ethan brought special glasses so we could look straight at it but only for under a minute. The best place to see it is the Faroe islands we made solar reflectors so we could see a mini eclipse.  One pair made there reflectors with 5 pin holes in it so there were 5 mini solar eclipses on there piece of card. We took some pictures of the eclipse miss Dales picture was the best it started at 8.30am and lasted till 10.15am it was a shame it did not last to long though.

Fun maths FINALLY!!!!

IMG_4999

This morning miss Niving was teaching us maths. We played maths jenga We really enjoyed it we also played around the world with miss Queen. We played maths bingo in our maths groups. My favourite was maths Jenga I think everybody enjoyed it. In maths jenga you had to pull out a block with a sum on it be careful not to knock it down. The block had a sum on it and we had to answer the question on it. In around the world you have to sit in a circle and one person had to see if they could get around the world without being taken over. Maths bingo is were you have to write six numbers in a grid and the  bingo caller will shout out sums if you do get all your numbers crossed out you win. After all that we went sledging we timed everyone.
