BOOK BLETHER

At The Movies!

There are lots of books that have been made into films. Can you think of any? Do you have a favourite?

Think about the book you are reading at the moment…

Do you think it would make a good film, TV show or video game?  Why?

Look forward to reading your replies!

DESERT ISLAND BOOKS…

Imagine you are stranded on a desert island (I know, we can dream!!) and you can only take three books with you. Which three books would you choose and why??????

I found it very difficult to choose only three but I think I have managed to whittle down my selection!

Will let you know later in the chat!

Morning Everyone!

What a busy Big Thursday you all had yesterday! I really enjoyed reading your posts and seeing all the fab work you did!

I have posted a couple of new reading tasks in the BIG READ page on the blog. Hope you enjoy!

200+ BOOKS READ ON EPIC!

Another Readerpillar badge arrived from EPIC today! What a fab effort guys!!

Let us know if you’ve read any good books you think your friends will enjoy – it’s great to read book recommendations/reviews on the blog.

Remember, I have recommended some fiction books on EPIC linked to your Arctic topic if anyone is needing some reading inspiration. Some of you have read a few already –  hope you’re enjoying them!

BIG THURSDAY!!!

Hope you’ve all had a fab week so far. Looks like you have all been working hard and having lots of fun with your learning.

BOOK BLETHER

Welcome to the first BOOK BLETHER of 2021!!

I would love to hear about everyone’s Christmas holiday reading…did you get any new books? Have you discovered any new authors?

Some popular ones in the Jardine household have been the Tom Gates books by Liz Pichon, the Ottoline books by Chris Riddell and The Guiness Book of Records.

Look forward to blethering with you all!

Happy Friday Everyone!

I hope you have all had a great week so far. From reading your blog posts it certainly looks like you’ve been working hard and having lots of fun!

I have put a couple of reading tasks in the Big Read folder – the Powerpoint is aimed at p1-3 but anyone can do the quiz. When you’ve completed the quiz don’t forget to let us know on the blog what your book personality is. Do you agree with what the quiz says??? We will see if we can come up with some book recommendations for you. You could also search EPIC and let us know what you find.

I will be putting a BOOK BLETHER post up soon so look out for it on the blog.

From Mrs Jardine

You are EPIC!!!

EPIC 100 books

What a lovely surprise to find this in my inbox from EPIC today. We haven’t even finished our first week of home learning and you have already read 100 books on EPIC – great work guys!

I can see a lot of you have been reading non-fiction books to help with your topic work.If anyone hasn’t been on yet there are loads of books about Arctic animals so it is worth logging on and having a look.

I have also recommended some fiction books linked to your topic I thought you might like. They should pop up on your profile next time you log on.

Happy Reading!
