Crackin’ On

Today’s blog is no where near as cool as yesterdays but I’m doing well in the sumdog challenge and today I did about 500 questions today and had a read next to a fire I lit. I also did some spelling workout.

Raven Rescue

Earlier today Rhona and me were rescuing a young raven (or rook) with wonky feet from under a hedge. The fact that we could catch it means it clearly was not in good nick. It could not take off either. Selkie saw the thing when me and Rhona were taking her for a walk. Rhona pointed it out and went home with the dog while I climbed into the hedge and began looking at it, then Rhona returned and we caught it together. It is now at a wildlife hospital.

We fed it cheese and strawberries to keep it’s strength up.

Pancake

This Thursday Rhona made pancakes and I recorded what she did. Mum made us do it before we had even ate anything.

Also I did my five a day yesterday,

Our Walk

Today we went on a walk that was arguably the most interesting we’ve been on in ages. It was only about five miles but we saw so many things. These include: Otter scat, A sunken raft (which we salvaged), A very cool looking bird nest, trains, and most interesting of all… A pair of very old looking glasses. (which we will sent to the museum)

Literacy- Big words

Here are some sentences I had to write:

The Monkey is scampering across the cobblestone.

I just cant believe people can be so obnoxious.

Wow, that is the most radiant bird I have ever seen.

I wish I could see light spectrums, it is hard to be blind.

I must leave now before I rouse the wrath of the dragon.

I leave as quickly as possible before the half rotten corpse begins to decay.

To me, Scotland is a paradise.

I swivel on my feet as I am startled.

TITANIC Poem

Oh she is, she really is divine,
The four funnelled flagship of White Star Line,
Ploughing through the Atlantic sea,
who knew lying under it was her destiny,

Why go so fast? You know there is ice ahead!
By this time tomorrow most will be dead,

To Shed some light in the gloom, the titanic is still a tomb,
not all the bodies have been found,
but others were and put under ground,
but there was a fire burning below,
too much heat has ignited some coal,
If they don’t burn it quick then they will be known,
as the ship that burned in the Atlantic so cold,

But despite this then no one must worry,
for all they know the ship is in a fury,
“Wait what? She’s sinking? All hands to the boats!”
Oh how I hope I don’t need to float.
