Here is a great picture of the 11 primary one pupils – it was hard work getting them to sit still long enough to take a photo!! 🙂 IMG_0825

Obugi Growing Calendar

MANGO

Read all about growing at Obugi School.

We asked the pupils to put together a calendar of what could be grown in Kenya in each month. The Greenhouse business group are sorting out our calendar for Scotland.

They are sure to look very different.

We intend to get growing after Christmas holidays.

Our exchange of learning continues!!

Thank you Obugi pupils and staff!!

Isla is looking for a new book recommendation as she has just finished a Worst Witch book!

Ryan is enjoying reading the Horrible History books!

Well Done to Isla – winner of the WHO IS ERIC? Competition!!

Obugi went fishing too!!

Fishing

Click on the link above to see photographs from the pupils at Obugi School. The teachers and pupils went on a fishing trip and wrote in about the fish they caught.

We will put together a slide show of our Fishing for the Future project to let our friends at Obugi know all about it.

It is great that the school now has the computers and the camera being used for learning. We look forward to finding out more from our friends in Kenya.

The Sun is Shining

We are having our third family camp over tonight at Holywood Primary. Parents and children camp in the playground. Today the sun is shining and so it should be dry for getting your tent up.

Great to be Back!

It has been a great week at Holywood. Pupils have come back confident and ready to learn. They are being very good to each other – good team work.

John tells me that he felt low when I mentioned a topic on food but is finding it very interesting, this is due to the practical approaches we are taking using the Science on the Menu and Food for Thought resources.

How is this for timing? Shona Muir (NHS) is coming in on the last day of the topic to talk about toothbrushing. We will all know how to keep our teeth in tiptop condition even if we treat ourselves to a less healthy food or drink.

See you all Soon :-)

Enjoy your holidays as staff are back in school getting ready for another busy year at Holywood School.

See you all on Thursday!

Remember a pencil!

Miss Dale

You will never guess…

You will never guess who I bumped into at Newcastle Airport…

Kye and his family!

There is just no getting away from the Holywood Community 🙂

Hope everyone is having a great holiday – despite the very rubbish weather!

Blog and let us know,

Miss Dale
