Everyone Reads In Class

We are excited about the choice and range of books pupils have decided to read for enjoyment. Look out for blogs about books in the near future!!

Great to be Back!

It has been a great week at Holywood. Pupils have come back confident and ready to learn. They are being very good to each other – good team work.

John tells me that he felt low when I mentioned a topic on food but is finding it very interesting, this is due to the practical approaches we are taking using the Science on the Menu and Food for Thought resources.

How is this for timing? Shona Muir (NHS) is coming in on the last day of the topic to talk about toothbrushing. We will all know how to keep our teeth in tiptop condition even if we treat ourselves to a less healthy food or drink.

See you all Soon :-)

Enjoy your holidays as staff are back in school getting ready for another busy year at Holywood School.

See you all on Thursday!

Remember a pencil!

You will never guess…

You will never guess who I bumped into at Newcastle Airport…

Kye and his family!

There is just no getting away from the Holywood Community 🙂

Hope everyone is having a great holiday – despite the very rubbish weather!

Blog and let us know,

Miss Dale

Thank you!

Big thank you to Kaylan and Aidan’s dad for the genius roof lifters for the tree house. Miss Dale now needs to get out her sewing machine and modify the canvas roofs over the summer.

Thank you!!

Look out for pictures from the past!!

We had our graduation assembly today at Holywood.

Congratulations to all the award winners!

Miss Stapleton and I found it very hard to make decisions as we have excellent, hard working pupils to choose from.

We also had some blast from the past pictures of our P7 pupils although it was difficult to see with the big screen (plans to improve next session) and we want to put some on the blog for you to aahh and chuckle over.

We will of course ask the P7 pupils to choose!!

4 x 100m Sprint Relay Team

A belated well done to Lewis, Blair, Braiden and Scott (that is the order they ran the relay race in!!) who got through to the final of the small schools sprint relay competition.

We learned that the pressure is different when you are competing against strangers.

We learned that we need to keep practising to get faster and faster.

Thank you to Keira who attended the event and did not run!

Keira will be running next year and hopes that others will join her!

Thank you to the sprint team – we were all very proud of your efforts!
