Toughest Posts Yet!

This week pupils were asked to write Alliteration posts for the blog.

Not sure they are informative but they are entertaining!

Almost poetry.

More to come…

Class Post…

There are 10 gurus in the Sikh religion.

Their god is Guru Nanak.

Guru Nanak is the main Guru.

Guru Nanak got married when he was 18 years old.

One of the Gurus died at the age of 8 from Smallpox.

The most famous Gurdwara is in Amar, India.

There is a Gurdwara in Glasgow.

Guru Nanak has 2 sons.

The Nishan Sahib is placed outside of every Gurdwara.

The Gurdwara is the Sikh’s temple.

The Sikh holy book is called the Guru Granth Sahib.

One of the 10 Gurus was threatened and tortured but never gave up….

This week’s blog challenge was a photo and caption.

We are now off to practise writing sentences with capital letters and full stops. We are also going to correct our spelling!

Hi Erin and Rein,

We wondered if you were reading the blog? If you are, could you let us know how you are getting on at your new school?

Missing you but hoping you are having fun.

Haiku Blog Posts

Yesterday I set pupils the challenge of writing their blog posts in the form of a Japanese style of poetry called a Haiku. These little poems only have three lines. The first line must have 5 syllables. The second line needs 7 syllables and the third line is 5 syllables again.

With these limited syllables you have to choose your words carefully.

Pupils were challenged to write about their learning or an activity they enjoy.

Please note that Paul totally loves school and thinks we are all fabulous!!

Have fun reading our haiku poems and have a go yourself.

Hello to all Our Friends in Obugi Primary

Hello to all our friends at Obugi Primary.

Thank you for all your great comments – we are glad you are reading about our learning!

Please e-mail Miss Dale and let her know all about your learning and she will put it up on the blog so that all our friends and family members can read about it too.

We are all exhausted but excited about the upcoming Christmas celebrations.

We hope everyone at Obugi has a safe and relaxing holiday. We will be back in touch in the New Year.

A joint project is long overdue!

Warmest wishes,

Team Holywood
