Wider Achievement at Gathering

This week we had Wider Achievement in the box which included:

Painting with Dad

Drawing detailed mini beasts

Skills on our bicycle

Leading a horse at the show

Teaching a younger pupil to ride a bike!

A Huge Thank You to the Parent Council

Thank you to the Holywood Parent Council for buying all of our P7 pupils their Leaver’s Hoodies.

Pupils were really proud when Parent Council members handed them out on Friday afternoon.

It is great to see them all wearing them around the school this week.

Thank you again to the Parent Council – this was a terrific gift for our P7 pupils.

Miss Dale

Huge Thank you!

Thank you to the Event Group (a Holywood Business Group) for planning, organising and running the Football Tournament.

Two thirds of the school were on the pitch taking part – with pupils from P1  to P7 making up the teams. Players were great sports on and off the pitch making the event a pleasure to watch.

Some hardy parents and grandparents endured the cold and came to cheer on their team – thank you for your support!

Thank you to Abigail’s dad for refereeing the tournament. I can report that no yellow or red cards were issued!

Well done once again to all members of the Events Group – you did a great job. We are already looking forward to your next event… I wonder what it will be?!?

Wider Achievement

Here are the pupils who shared their Wider Achievements with us at Gathering (our new name for Assembly).

Some pupils also gained certificates.

Congratulations!

Going through the Cameras

Have you noticed the huge flower on the wall above the book trees? Painted by our pupil in the photo!

Supporting the Netherlands at the World Ice Hockey Championships – we didn’t bring them any luck!!

Pupils constructing marble runs in STEM

My search through the cameras continues…

We need to get better at sharing the images in a more timely fashion!
Off to find the school show snaps!!

Teaching today at Holywood

Hi Miss Dale here,

I am teaching in P3-5 today.

We remembered our alphabet  in capital by playing some white board games and then used this knowledge to organise the books in the Reading Hub!

We organise our books by the author’s last name…

Eva Ibbotson would be under   I

Jeff Kinney would be under  K

C S  Lewis would be under   L

and David Walliams would be under  W

The Reading Hub is now a bit more organised.

Can you stop by and help us out?
