Howdy

Hey everybody
It was good to see you all on our meet up.

I have almost completed the adding and taking away maths table. I am half way through the times table one.
I have done the Loch Ness facts sheet now too.

We were out on a walk and had a talk about how the last year and coronavirus has made us feel. We had to pick 3 feelings and then say why we felt that.

Happy
I like staying at home and being able to play with my stuff at home at my break times. I like seeing my family more.

Sad
I miss all my friends and getting to play outside with them at break time. I’ll be really happy when I can do that again.
Angry
I get frustrated a lot at the moment. I just want to be able to see my friends and go out to some different places.

I am hoping to make it to big book blether tomrrow to talk about Cat Ninja.
It is now time to go and look at the Arctic and see how different it is to other places.
Bye for now everybody.
Rory

  1. Hi Rory, sounds like you are cracking on with your maths, which is great. Your Loch Ness monster work is very good – you have understood the text well. I will look out for your Arctic work.

Thank you very much for sharing how the Coronavirus has made you feel. I can imagine that a lot of your friends will feel similarly, so I think it will help that you shared this so people don’t feel like they are the only ones feeling a bit of sadness. I am pleased that in amongst the sad and frustrated feelings you have found some super happy thoughts, Rory. And it’s good to know that every day is a bit closer to getting everyone back to school.
Looking forward to seeing you on book Blether tomorrow. I want to hear about Cat Ninja!

  2. Great note taking from the Loch Ness Monster texts Rory. It sounds like you are working hard on your maths too – all that practice will definitely help to keep your skills sharp.
I agree with Mrs Armstrong, it is really good to talk about how the current situation is making us feel. I am the same as you – I’m feeling quite frustrated about a lot of things at the moment. Walking and talking is such a good way to help your mental health though.
