This is the same type of moth I spotted in Mabie forest last year. I think it’s called a cinnabar. It’s very beautiful, I love the colours!

You are right Mrs. Jardine, it is called a Cinnabar. Its bright colours let anything that might want to eat it know that it is poisonous. Its caterpillar is also poisonous (it is yellow and black) and feeds on ragwort which is a poisonous plant. Great wildlife spotting Reece.
