Jesus

We have also been learning about Jesus. He was the son of God. We have found out some things about him but we have lots of questions, we wonder whether any mums or dads can answer them?
Isla would like to know, if God was his dad who was Joseph to him?
Euan wants to know how old was he when he died and how do we know?
Georgia would like to know who was his very best friend?
Where did he live for most of his life?
Paul wonders how he got out of the tomb he was put in after his crucifixion?
Does anybody have any answers to any of our questions? Please reply if you do! Thanks from P1-3

  1. okay here is some answers to your questions that my 13 year old son Christian cook has offered ,he said god is not a being so therefore is not Jesus real father but in the faith and bible he is father to all , Joseph was there as Mary s partner or husband but also as a protector for baby Jesus , he said that Jesus was 47 when he died because it say s so in the bible ??…. Jesus original best friend was Judas but he betrayed him in the end , then he met a lady called Mary Magdeline and the two became great friends and that is why there is a space in the picture the last supper although she has not been painted in it was for the intention of this lady Mary , he lived in Israel for the majority of his life , god resurrected him , something to do with strength to push the boulder out of the way and this is why we have egg rolling at easter , hope this helps they may not be accurate but then who knows 🙂

  2. Isla: Joseph can be seen as his ‘adopted’ father. People would call him his earthly father, as apposed to his heavenly father.

Euan: He started ministering when he was 30 and did so for about 3.5 years, so died when he was about 33.

Georgia: John was called the disciple that he loved, but he also cried when he was told Lazaras had died.

He lived in Egypt for the first few years of his life, as King Herod was killing the baby boys, but returned when the king had died to live in Nazareth in Galilee. That is why he is called Jesus of Nazareth.

Paul – the wrappings and spices used on his body when he was placed in the tomb would have been VERY heavy. We guess the two angels that were seen outside the tomb after he had risen must have helped him remove these wrappings and moved the stone. The wrappings were found folded inside the tomb.
