On Monday, P6′ s went to North West High school!

When we arrived we went straight to the office to get set a specific place. Then one of the teachers Mr Cook came and told us to come and sit in the hall! After that we got put into 4 groups, G1, G2, G3 and G4. Me Carlay and Daniel were in G3

First activity:

My first activity was in the library. What we done was make book marks and give them a re-view on a book. I done the book mark first. I made it look like a rat! Then i went to go give a random book a re-view on the cover. I chose the hunger games.

Next Activity.

The second activity was art. In art we done a poster all about me, what we put on the poster was what your favourite things were! The teacher put some music on to chill because the whole idea was to draw and chill

Then it was time for brake

third activity.

The third activity was science. In science we learnt about electricity and what things that power electricity through it. It turns out that only copper, metal and stuff like that only work.

Forth activity

For the forth activity we done history! What we done was the teacher gave us a quiz sheet to research and the we right down on the quiz answer sheet. The teacher put up the answer with a letter to put down. The letters would end up to a full word . Then we had to make a power point on it.

5th activity

The 5th activity was P.E with Mr Cook. We got split into teams with a bench. When Mr Cook blows the whistle then the game starts then they starts throwing the balls. If you get taged then you have to go on the opposite side till some one trows a ball at you.

Then it was time for lunch

Finally it was time for the whole school game. The whole school game was capture the flag. We got split up into 2 teams, blue team and neon green team. we got 2 flags each and the other team will try and capture the flag and then run to the teacher. it was 26 degrees out side and we had to play in that heat! after that it was time to go home. I took Daniel home and Carlay’s mum took her to her dad’s house! We got to leave at 2:40. Super early!

Hey this is Carlay. I’m going to talk about north west.

First… my mum dropped me off at Claudia’s house. When I got there I got in Claudia’s car and her mum took Claudia, Daniel and I.

After that we went to our first activity in the library we made book marks then we did a review on a book that we know I made a giraffe book mark. I did a review on a book called dog man I said it was good and bold for people cant read.

Next we went to art and drew a logo \badge for our school about us I drew a rabbit in a field with carrots, vines and stars.

Surprisingly we had science next we done electricity with battery’s and crocodile clips. We had to find thing that powered electricity it was really fun.

At once we done history we got given a quiz sheet that we had to research  there was a geography section and a history section. Daniel and I were partners. Once we got our answer we looked around the room for hints and clues.

5th we has P.E we done bench ball we got split into teams  with a bench either side. Then he blew the whistle and we started if you got hit you had to go to the other side and stand on the bench. People in your team had to throw the ball at you and you had to catch it to get back in. If someone in you’re team threw the ball in the hoop everyone out on there team got back in. If someone from the other team tried to either get a ball in the hoop or at someone you have to try and block it by catching it if you hit it your out on the bench.

At 2 o’clock we had our parent come in and watch us play a game of captor the flag there was a blue team and a yellow team there was two flags on each side . As you run on to there side they are allowed to it you and its the same if they go on you’re side. we done it for 30 mins it was soooo hot I was in all black a swell I really enjoyed that day mostly because we went home early and because I made more friends and met new theachers.

hello thomas A here today I am going to tell you all about Learning this week. a couple of days ago we changed our topic to space we had to get into groups  and make a model a sketch note and a book on something like power point or adobe express well I have to go now bye!!!   

hi its Alexi speaking I am going to talk about are topic space. we made sketch note on all the planets. we remembered by saying my very easy method just keep speeding up naming planets. that is how Iremember.

After school today I’m going to my 2nd athletics competition. I’m still quite scared though. I’m entering 600 meter run , 80 meter sprint and long jump. It’s at Dumfries Keswick Athletic Centre. Also known as DKAC. I think i’m in the under 12 or under 10 group. It starts at 5:00 o, clock.

In idl we have been learning  about  space I wars learning about Mars  did you mars haves 1 moon.

 

Hello is Thomas P. Today wed are typing today we are going to talk about my learning.

In maths we have done a maths assessment and I got 76% now I just need to get more than 75% to move up maths assessment. I think I will do it. We checked our maths assessment and I got 7 answers wrong so I needed to correct them and then they were all right! Then I had to help some one with theirs. And i got a peanut.

In my learning we have been learning about space. We have got into groups on have been making posters, models and presentations. The people in my group are Olly, Layla and David. I made a poster on mars. There are more more then just 1 group, I Lenard that Mars has tow moons! The have names the moons but sadly I don’t remember it. Do you know what they are?

On Thursday in computer science we made a sway. My sway was about Pikmin.

In our class we are learning about space we had to go in groups in my group it is me Amber, Libby ,Tasnim and  Carlay.

Good bye from Noah

On the 25th of may, some of my classmates in p6 came to North West with me to see what it was like for an option for a high school. 

Are first subject was English. In English we made a cool bookmark that attaches to the side of the page. After that there was another station in English, where we picked a book and write a little bit to, persuade people to read the book. I picked The Hunger Games it was the Catching Fire book. 

Then we went to art. In art we made a school logo, mine had the Aberdeen logo on it, some shading and a downhill bike. The teacher also played some music, it wasn’t my favourite though.

After that we had some other classes but I don’t have time to share them with you. Anyway in the afternoon, after lunch we played a massive game of capture the flag on the astro football pitch, they have there. There was about fifty people on each team. In one of the games I captured both of the flags for my team so we won. Finally after that we went home and I got Vimto and then rested for football training that night. Thats all I have to share, howdie.
