Islam

Hi Brody here. Today i am going to be talking about islam. we learned about the five pillars of islam. they are called shahada, salah, zakat, swam and hajj. we also made leaflets about Islamic artefacts such as prayer mats and shoe racks. we made a big out line of a mosque on the wall and then labelled it. we also wrote our name in Arabic. we made a diorama of the inside of a mosque. on our white board we drew the story of the crying camel then we made a story map of the crying camel.

Huge Thank you!

Thank you to the Event Group (a Holywood Business Group) for planning, organising and running the Football Tournament.

Two thirds of the school were on the pitch taking part – with pupils from P1  to P7 making up the teams. Players were great sports on and off the pitch making the event a pleasure to watch.

Some hardy parents and grandparents endured the cold and came to cheer on their team – thank you for your support!

Thank you to Abigail’s dad for refereeing the tournament. I can report that no yellow or red cards were issued!

Well done once again to all members of the Events Group – you did a great job. We are already looking forward to your next event… I wonder what it will be?!?

Wider Achievement

Here are the pupils who shared their Wider Achievements with us at Gathering (our new name for Assembly).

What I Learned at Holywood

Hi Daisie here,

For the school show I was a villager / wife.

It was a funny part and I had to say “oi, don’t be cheeky you distant cousin of a gnat and my other line was i’ve already got one thanks

I was very nervous at first but then I got used to it.  The hardest bit was remembering my lines and when to say them.

The easiest part was probably getting dressed .

My favourite part was probably the raffle because i won some stuff

Kye was a police officer

Amber was ruby

Ruby was Emerald

Thank you for listening i hope you enjoyed my blog post
