And we’re here to tell you about our learning yesterday. We started a personal project about food and different diets and Muslim foods.

I am is doing Muslim and food Lottie is doing different diets in India and Italy.

In the first few weeks, we have been:

  • Spelling:

We have been doing spelling work and spelling quizzes, the pupils test each other. We have also been doing reading box cards that the teachers mark (pupils cheating?)

  • Maths

In maths we made posters that show ways we can display numbers, like Miss Stapleton’s modern art and additions-subtractions. In maths we have been partitioning numbers.

  • Art

In art, we started mask paintings, shades of a different colour each (mine was brown)

We did self portraits

And we took photographs of each other in twos with one three

In threes (one four), we did eat healthy stop motion animations. I was with Ori, Lottie, and Tumaini.

  • PE

We were doing rugby in PE, like learning throws and catches and things like that. Exhaustion tig is a popular warm-up.

  • Personal project

In P6/7, we are doing a personal project, the topics we can choose include being vegan, being Jewish and food, and eating fish.

The past week

HI, it’s Alexa and Hannah and today we will be talking about what happened in the past week.

PE: On big Thursday last week we did rugby and we were passing the ball backwards in a line. And we also did an endurance running exercise, we also did running while passing.­

SPELLING: Every day in the morning we do spelling practise. on Wednesday we do spelling quiz 🙁

PERSONAL PROJECT: Yesterday we started personal project we had to pick a topic like; diabetes, heart disease and food around the world.

yesterday we did a personal project about food I was comparing Australia  and Thailand to Scotland and I found out that in Australia they eat grilled kangaroo and it is a healthy meat there are other different foods but I really want to try pavalova or lamingtons. 

in Thailand they eat tom yum goong spicy shrimp soup.

 

Learning

For a couple of weeks we will be doing a personal project there was a bunch of subjects like being vegan, diabetes, heart disease, eating fish, being Muslim and being Jewish!I am not really sure if there was more but if there is that is some of the ideas. We were able to do a poster, power point,  talk or a diorama. You need to ask and answer questions find out facts and read and research. A lot of people are doing heart disease and diabetes and I dont think anyone is doing about eating fish. #personalproject

Learning update

Hello everyone,  This is a description of what we have done today so far.  We started the day with spelling, then moved on to descriptive writing were we used our description bubbles to make a high quality wanted poster about us. After we just finished up some other work we have been doing. We then did maths, we’ve been practising our times tables, addition  and subtraction. Now were writing about our learning and later were going to do our personal project about ether heart disease, diabetes, Jewish food, Muslim food, about eating fish, veganism and I can’t  remember if there was any more.

The healthy food blog!

Hi this is Rhona and i am here to tell you about the food topic we have been doing! (Oriana’s section below.) We have been making some food and i’m going to tell you what i liked and didn’t like. I made the banana ice cream and it was NICE. Almost everyone wanted some.  (i was proud :)). And i also liked the protein dip and the berry swirl. And i didn’t like the fritatas because they had cheese in them and i hate cheese! >:P (The protein dip was OK with the cucumber and carrot). Bye!

 

Hi this is Oriana and this term we are doing a topic on healthy eating.

We made a   banana ice cream and it was delish! all you do is freeze bananas and then blitz them. it was quite creamy. there was also a protein dip, a humus type thing, a yogurt with  berries in it and a spinach fritata. i loved all of them.

In class we made healthy foods to try. My favourite was the banana ice cream it is very yummy. I didn’t really like white bean sos but i also really liked the fruit yogurt thing it was yummy too there was a pnut butter thing on something with bananas and i also loved the cake thing.

Healthy snacks

Today we were making healthy snacks like berry swirl,  banana ice cream, crunchy chickpeas, white been dip, protein dip, frittata muffins and rye bread with almond butter and banana. I enjoyed the berry swirl and Kaitlyn liked rye bread with almond butter and banana the most.
