Hi! I’m back! (In case you do not know this is Caspian.).
Today I did my usual maths and spelling, along with some Arctic work and literacy. I wrote a letter to President Biden as to whether I would like to stop the drilling in the Arctic or not. My answer was… (You guessed it… possibly….) No.
Also I will write down what I did for the holidays.
Right, now for the Biden letter:
Dear President Biden,
I think you should STOP drilling for oil in the Arctic because it might endanger the animals that live there. What if someone accidentally drilled into a polar bear den? What if the polar bears have to fond a new home? A polar bear could be killed if its’ den is drilled into. The drilling could avert animals from their feeding/breeding grounds. Polar bears eat fish and if the seas are covered with drills they may have to adapt to ferns and/or land animals…Which won’t make saving them from extinction any easier, in fact HARDER.
Yours sincerely, C. Huitson-Bonde.
Also, I have found a song on YouTube that can help you go to sleep. It is from Pokémon and it makes the characters sleep in the show. (After Ash and his friends and Pokémon fall asleep in the show, Jigglypuff, the singer of this song, draws funny faces on them) Anyway, if you search “Jigglypuff song one hour” and put it on while you try to sleep, it might make it easier. Unless hard rock makes you go to sleep.
Now, Pika! (Pikachu for goodbye)
There was lots of writing this morning in the hub, which the children chose to extend after break time, so only a small amount of number work done this morning. Then a walk in the woods this afternoon, with some trust games in the park, followed by the Lego challenge. In the woods we saw a woodpecker by following its tapping sound.
Hey everybody today I did my Five a day and then some simplifying fractions. Then I wrote a letter to invite my favourite Tiktoker to a school opening. I think I’ve put in all the right puncuation. I put guidelines on my letter with a pencil so it didn’t get messy and then went round my letter with pen and then rubbed out the pencil. By Esmaé
We have had another busy day here in the hub.
This morning we worked on literacy and numeracy. After break we made individual Mars Bars crispy cakes which we ate in school this afternoon- thanks Mrs Fraser! After lunch we went for a walk and had a play in the little woods. We really enjoyed seeing the frozen stream- lots of ice. To finish off the day we scoffed our crispy cakes, made Lego zipwires, Chinese lanterns and Valentine’s day cards. Some of us also helped Miss Dale cut some willow and do a bit of painting in Miss Stapleton’s classroom.
We hope you like our photos. Have a great holiday everyone!
