IM LEARNING HOW TO SPEAK DOG! :D

I got inspired to learn how to speak my dogs language by listening to a “my story animated video”  the reason for it is because I want to be able to speak to my dog so she can hint to telling me things like she did when she found a mouse when I was 9. Sometimes my dog hints things to me like, she wants in my bed because once she did that and all I heard, was a *sniff sniff* and little paws waddling into my room and I looked down and I saw her at my cabin bed ladder and I lifted her up, and had a snuggle with her. I want my dog to be able to tell me important things that are sort of simple, like “RHONA HELP SOMEONES IN THE HOUSE!” By barking or something.

Story Telling Videos

Check out the videos of some of the guys who have been in the Hub this week – they have been working on story telling with found objects.

Book Blether Live Chat

Thanks to everyone who joined in with Book Blether this morning. It was lovely to see all your faces and hear about what you’ve been reading. We were introduced to lots of interesting characters from Princesses and tooth fairies to dragons, detectives and out of control shoes!!

I’ve popped a video in the BIG READ page of the Danger is Everywhere novel that I mentioned at the start of the chat. If you’re a fan of the Tom Gates and Diary of a Wimpy Kid books I think this novel will appeal to you.

Stay safe and keep reading everyone!

Mental Health and Wellbeing.🧠

Hi Everybody,

This week is as well as national storytelling week is children metal wellbeing week, so I’ve doing mental health friendly activities during lockdown. Here are some of the things I’m doing that are connected to the 5 ways to wellbeing:

  • Connect with others: I have a call with some of my best friends every week, we play games and use filters to make each other laugh.
  • Be active: I do ring fit (a fitness game) every other day as well as dog walking everyday.
  • Take note/mindfulness: I do mindfulness in the mornings. we have been using an app called Headspace and we do one of their guided mediations for kids. but sometimes I fall asleep in them
  • Learn: I school work every week day (even if i don’t want to)
  • Give: I have been baking cakes and treats for the neighbours (they love them).

I have also been thinking about what makes me feel happy and one of the things that I enjoy is drawing and this month I have been taking part in Febcreate – run by a local art group I am part of,  they give you a prompt work every day and you have to do a drawing of it. All the prompts are Scottish words so sometime I have to google them first but it links to ‘Bad Broonie’. Anyone can take part so you can join in if you want to

Bye
