Hello this is Tanith
Today I have done my spellings, my maths, my reading and I coloured in my French picture. I hope you like it. I wrote about my toucan Jacob under my picture. I also looked at the kind of clothes an Arctic person used to wear and what they wear now. I think I would like to wear the modern clothes because they are very cozy and there are loads of layers to make sure you don’t get frostbite. Also an animal does not die to make them. The old clothes look really good but would look much better on the animal they came from.
Tonight mama and I clapped in remembering Captain Sir Tom who died from Covid. I said a little prayer and mama said my words. Then we hugged because we are very lucky to have each other. I am very sad for Captain Sir Tom’s family who will miss him a lot but his star is in heaven now with my cats Isobel and Lunar.

Hi Tanith, another busy day for you! Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the Arctic clothing. You are right that we have to consider not just how the clothing is for the human, but also what it means for the animal, if the clothing has come from an animal. The Arctic people are as respectful as they can be and traditionally only take what they need to survive, but now modern clothing is available and there is a choice, some are choosing the modern clothing. It’s great that you are thinking carefully about the issue, Tanith.
Sounds like another busy day Tanith. Fantastic toucan picture, you have translated the French words accurately. It is very sad news about Captain Tom Moore, what an amazing life he had though!
