My Arctic adventure!!!

Hello team Holywood!

Yesterday I done an Arctic set up with my Lego. I got out my Arctic mission snowcat and I borrowed some of my sisters Arctic mission Lego which was a sled with a box in the back of the sled. The arctic set up is really cool. Mummy helped me set it up. I used the white  pillows from our white sofa for the snow. I could not put the picture up on the blog, sorry.

Today I made some snowflakes from pipe cleaners as part of the maths challenge. There is a picture below, what do you think?

This week has been really good so far and everyone’s blogs are very very good. I hope that everyone is doing well.

bye bye, M.

Mythology and other work.

Hello everyone! Cleo here.

I’ve been doing more maths. I did spicy Five-a-day again and I completed them in 5 minutes. 😀 I also simplified the medium difficulty algebra. It took me a bit longer but I manged to complete it all correctly.

I drew a Ryu (Japanese dragon) and Mum asked me to find out some facts about them.

The Japanese dragon also known as the Ryu or Tatsu is a mythical animal from Japan. Ryuu or Ryu stands for dragon or imperial in Japanese. The Ryu looks a bit like a sea serpent, but it flies instead of swimming. The Ryu is related to the Chinese long and Korean Yong. Some Ryu’s can hide in water, take human form, form clouds, turn into water, change colour to camouflage into their surroundings and they can glow in the dark. It’s quite amazing! The differences between the Korean dragon, Chinese dragon and the Japanese dragon is the Chinese dragon has five claws while Korean dragons have four and the Japanese dragon have three.

We discussed kindness as a family and looked at the boards from the underground. We came up with  actions and words to show kindness towards other people. I then made a poster of things that make me smile and hopefully other people smile with phrases to spread kindness.

I hope you all had a great day and remember to smile at someone each day because smiling is contagious!

Friday 29th January by Ella

Hi

So yesterday I was with my nan because my mum was at work. We did lots of reading words and making up sentences and looking at different numbers. We played outside in the garden too.

Today I have been making my Ewok people. Bob and Bill. 😆 it was fun making them.

I did some snowflake patterns and then I did some typography.  It was quite tricky to do.

We did some reading on Epic then I played  some games on bbc bitesize.  We are going for a walk now.

Have a good weekend everybody.

Bye

Spelling test

Today I did my spelling test and got 10/10 I was so pleased! Now I can start the next word list.

I did some tricky maths and then did the zoom call.  It was nice seeing everyone but I still don’t like talking on it much.  Looking forward to seeing everyone’s toys next week.

Have a good weekend

Reece

Sumdog Spelling

I know how much some of you love playing Sumdog to practise your maths – did you know you can play the same games to work on your spelling too? Just choose “Spelling” when you go to the Sumdog website. Just like in the maths section it will run a diagnostic to start off with so that it can tell what level you should be at – try your best with it and take your time so that it doesn’t think you are less skilled than you are!

Have fun spelling!

P1-3 Catch Up

It was lovely to see so many of you on Teams this morning, I am missing being in class at the moment so it was great to catch up and meet your pets/hear about what you’ve been reading. I’ll need to read Dinosaur Cove and Hey Grandude, they sound like great recommendations – and Skye, you can fill us in on what you thought of the BFG ending when you finish it.

Looking forward to seeing your Christmas presents next week – did anyone get anything bigger than Godzilla?!
