200+ BOOKS READ ON EPIC!

Another Readerpillar badge arrived from EPIC today! What a fab effort guys!!

Let us know if you’ve read any good books you think your friends will enjoy – it’s great to read book recommendations/reviews on the blog.

Remember, I have recommended some fiction books on EPIC linked to your Arctic topic if anyone is needing some reading inspiration. Some of you have read a few already –  hope you’re enjoying them!

STEM lard experiment

We noticed that the hand that didn’t have the lard on it was colder. The hand with the lard wrapped around it was warm. Kohdie said it felt like he was wearing a glove like Iron Man. Bailey said when he squished it it felt squishy like play dough. James said the hand with lard on it felt heavy compared to the other hand. Larsson said he couldn’t feel any difference between his hands. Some us thought the lard smelt horrible and some of us didn’t think it smelt of anything. We enjoyed the experiment and we would like to do it again. Here are some photos of us.

Big Thursday blog. 😁💗

Hi it’s Erin

We listened to 4 songs today.

First we  listened to granny’s song which was David Bowie, Ziggy stardust, and it sounded like someone screaming in your face. Granny likes it because it was a song when she was a teenager.

Next it was my song called Call Me Maybe from  Carly Rae Jepson.

We all liked it 😊 I had two songs the next one was sorry not sorry by kidz bop. We all like that one as well.

Next was  Papa’s song the Macarena by Los Del Rio. We thought that was good ,and we danced .💃🐧🍍

I also made my protest poster.

Aunt Jane’s tea cups – take 2

Hi Everybody,

Turns out the first time I did this it wasn’t right but I’ve fixed it now and we’ve looked over it lots of times and we think it’s right. We tried different patterns, when we found one that worked it was simple.

See you soon,

Joe!😜😂🤣🐶🐵🐾

Brody

Look at all the work Brody has been doing this week! Excellent reading, writing and maths, well done.

The Zoo Debate

Awesome to see that some children have been sharing their thoughts on the zoo debate in a respectful way. Debates are great because when we all share our ideas we often learn something from someone else in the debate.
A parent has very kindly sent a link to the Five Sisters Zoo, who are providing online lessons from their zoo at 11am on Tuesdays and Thursdays, if you are interested:
Other zoos, all around the world, also have virtual tours and webcams. Feel free to look around and tell us if you find anything interesting.
