Hedgehogs and Woodpeckers

We decided to post a joint blog as we want to use the same pictures today.

We both did maths, spelling and project work on the timeline. Then we made chocolate hedgehogs. There are none left because they tasted amazing!!!!!!!

We went for our woodland walk. We saw a black, red and white woodpecker. We also heard him as he was pecking in one of the trees. We haven’t seen one so close before so are really pleased. We met Mrs Fraser and she was really nice.

After our walk, we did some exercises before going home. We ran laps of the green, swung from the tree and jumped about a lot. Our happy picture is of us resting after our runnings.

I, this is Caspian, have been reading a load of books about the Roman’s so I can tell you all about the gods. Mum teaches Roman archaeology and Mark is writing about Epiacum so we have loads of books about them. I will post something next week.

See ya, Caspian

Smile every day and look up to Rainbow land to make you happy love from Tanith xxx

  1. It’s always great when you spot some wildlife when you are out for a walk. That’s a lovely picture Tanith and Caspian and I’m looking forward to learning more about the Roman gods, Caspian.

  2. it was so lovely to meet you all.

I’m not surprised you ate all the hedgehogs as they are delicious. You made a great job of them and it looked like you had fun.

I must listen out for the woodpecker on our walk as I would love to see it.

    Well done.

  3. Hi Caspian and Tanith,
That’s great that you saw the woodpecker! When I walked my dog yesterday I could hear one all the way, but never saw it! The hedgehogs do look great and at first I thought that was a lot to eat, but then I read that you had done all that exercise so I bet you needed the energy 🙂 Well done. Love your happy picture!
Well done cracking on with your maths and spellings. How did you find the timeline work? I thought that might be quite challenging, so I would be pleased to know how you found it so that I can consider your thoughts if I use that activity another time.
Like Mrs Madden, I am looking forward to hearing about the Roman gods.

  4. Hope to see some of your chocolate hedgehogs on the shelves in the supermarkets, soon! They look very tempting and yum!
Not surprised they didn’t live to see another day!
