My Arctic food chain

Hi everyone,

Today I made a poster about the food chain in the Arctic circle. Here is a picture of my poster:

In my poster there are four levels on which the different animals are in the chain: it starts with the sun then producers, and primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary consumers. Orcas are at the top of the food chain because of them being known to hunt polar bears. To gather this information we researched in books and online also I watched David Attenborough’s documentary, Polar Seas.

See you,

Joe

  1. Excellent work Joe – it looks like you remembered lots about food chains. I like the way you have presented your work. Polar Seas is a great source to find out more about Arctic animals too.

  2. Joe, this is excellent. You have labelled your poster clearly, especially with the direction of energy flow. Thank you for explaining it so well in your introduction, that will help some of the children who might not have looked at food chains yet. Strictly speaking you have made a food WEB, rather than a food CHAIN, but that is awesome!
