Making sentences

Hello everyone! It’s Cleo here. I made sentences with words I had to find in the dictionary. These are the sentences I made.

I had a quarrel with my brother about who’s sitting in the front seat.
In the wild west, Jordan won the duels against outlaws.
I decided I wanted to go to Spain so I stayed in a hotel where the staff were hospitable.
Before I went to bed I heard a noise so I decided to check it out. As soon as I stepped onto the wet dewy grass I head a growl and decided to run back inside.
I gave consent to Rory to use my PC but I kept a close eye on him.
I get very vexed when Rory talks over me and interrupts my conversation.
We had to buy a new draught excluder for our front door because our last one broke.
I repented to my Mum for not tidying my room.

I hope you are all doing well. Stay safe and have fun.

  1. Great sentences Cleo – used the given vocabulary well!
Are you getting into Romeo and Juliet this week?

  2. Your sentences are all great, Cleo, but there was one that sounded like the beginning of a story and I was hooked! I wanted to read the rest of the story. It was the one that started, “Before I went to bed I heard a noise so I decided to check it out. As soon as I stepped onto the wet dewy grass I head a growl and decided to run back inside.”

(Don’t worry, you don’t have to write the story, but what an interesting start! I will be wondering what made the growl…)

  3. These are amazing Cleo, I am really impressed by your sentences. Looking forward to seeing some more of your home learning this week. 🙂

  4. Hello Cleo
Impressive sentences! which words did you have to look up in the dictionary? any chance of seeing them in cursive writing?
What a pity lockdown has interrupted our normal lives; was so looking forward to continuing our cursive writing sessions again! Hope you’re practising!
