Climbing to the Summit of Everest

Hi all, Caspian is back!

Today I learnt about Sherpa Tenzing and Edmund Hillary and how they reached the summit of Everest. The flag of Nepal, where Everest is situated, is the only flag which is not rectangular in shape. I would like to visit the bronze statue of Edmund Hillary in New Zealand one day as it would be nice to see a statue of such a great man. I hope there is a statue of Sherpa Tenzing also as Edmund Hillary would not have reached the summit without the help of Sherpa Tenzing.

I also did some maths. We went for a walk after lessons so we all got some exercise, our dog included!

Fairy Day

Hello everybody,

Today I read and answered questions on Fairy Hill, Butterfly Fairy’s Secret by Fran Evans. It is a really good book and has fairies in it which I love and believe in. Butterfly Fairy was very kind to a lovely caterpillar and she helped him by giving him bilberries and when it was winter time, she gave him some honey and helped him turn into a lovely butterfly. A cheeky brown mouse was stealing all the food from the fairies but the fairies told him off and he said sorry. I also did some writing on it to check my copying and my joined up handwriting. I worked on my spellings and wrote sentences for each word. Then I learnt how to read digital clocks and normal clocks. We went for a nice walk and I said hello to Sam and Sevi’s mummy who invited me and mummy to tea when the coronavirus is over. Mummy made lemon cake and chocolate cookies for us today which were very yummy. Smile every day and always be kind.

Lots of love from Tanith xxx
