The Wonders of the Universe

Hi all, Caspian is back!

We had a virtual tour of LEGOLAND today, it was wonderful. I especially liked looking at the rides and the Lego everywhere. I love making Lego builds. Mum and Mark have got me most of the Ninjago Lego sets – all the dragon mechs and Garmadon’s volcano.  I’m saving up to get the DC Flash Lego set at the moment and I’m currently building the Dalek spaceship from Doctor Who.

My Lego facts:

  1. It was first designed and made in Denmark.
  2. Lego manufactures more wheels than anyone else in the world.
  3. Lego means play well.
  4. Their motto is, ‘the best is never too good’.
  5. The biggest set is the Milleneum Falcon, Han Solo’s ship in Star Wars.
  6. Its signature skin colour is yellow.
  7. Many people try to make fake Lego.
  8. there are six Lego theme parks around the world.
  9. The most popular Lego game is Lego Dimensions.
  10. Lego Ninjago has been aired since 2011.

After the tour, I designed a Doctor Who ride. Trouble is, as you will see from my picture, a Cyberman (wearing the eleventh doctor’s fez) and a Dalek (also in a fez) are manning the ticket booths so getting entry to the ride is a bit tricky! If you do manage to get on, a weeping angel takes the motion camera snap so is somewhat problematic!! One of the Silence lurks on the ride but visitors always forget they saw him (you will understand why if you are a Whovian like me). If you make it to the end of the ride (the cart is the TARDIS), don’t buy a souvenir from the Zygon who can’t spell in case he tries to steal your identity!

  1. I love Lego too Caspian! I would love to see your Dalek spaceship when you’ve finished building it. Your Dr Who ride sounds like an immersive experience. A Cyberman and a Dalek manning the ticket booth – great idea!

  2. Some great facts about Lego Caspian! Your virtual tour of Legoland sounds fun. You’ve thought about your ride in great detail, good work. I’ll remember not to buy a souvenir 🙂

  3. That’s great, Caspian – I love your ideas for your Doctor Who ride – I definitely wouldn’t like to meet a weeping angel! I did not know that Lego means play well – fantastic facts – well done.
