Today we measured a tree, it was 16.4m, I then whittled a camp knife from some wood.

Are you enjoying week in the woods Rhys? Be very careful using knives without gloves on!!
Great knife you have whittled – can you make a fork to match? Just a wee sand down to smooth it out. Well done!
Good to see you pushing away with the blade – I can leave you some gloves in the school greenhouse tomorrow, that we bought for whittling, if you would like to borrow a pair?

Great bit of whittling, Rhys – perhaps you could make a toasting fork too? If you are, it’s a good idea to drill holes where you want the prongs to finish so that you don’t split the wood all the way down.
Great photos Rhys and well done on your tree measurements and whittling.
That knife is fab Rhys, well done!
Great measuring work guys! Your knife is super Rhys! Looks like you are enjoying week in the woods.
Fantastic whittling skills Rhys. I bet Mrs Madden is very proud of you!
