Update on what I’ve been doing.
Hi everyone. Cleo here.
Manga Drawings
I thought I would post my manga drawings from last week. I drew them using paint as I like to use a computer to draw. Here is a picture of me and a picture of a character from Pokemon called Diglet.
Adapted Characteristics
We have been looking at adapted characteristics and discussed what we would need as humans for each of the pictures shown on the activity sheet. We then drew them along side an animal and plant from the area. We also watched two episodes of Planet Earth that focused on the desert and then the snowy areas. For the desert Planet Earth taught me that in the Gobi desert as well as having extremely hot weather the Winters can be harsh too, sometimes getting as cold as -40c. For the drawing we focused on a desert that is hot.
Tricky words
I looked up the tricky words in the dictionary. Here are my sentences.
A Spiny Flower mantis nymph is miniscule compared to other mantis.
I think it is important for rules to be transparent so it is clear for everyone to follow them.
That person said an infantile joke that upset some of the listeners.
The Oogie Boogie man is a loathsome character in The Nightmare Before Christmas because he’s mean to Jack Skeleton.
At Christmas time you can see everybody bustling in the shops.
A ball is spherical which makes it easier to kick around.
I’m now of to do some more Sumdog. Hope you have had a good day.

My review of Ottoline and The Yellow Cat
Rory’s review of Ottoline and The Yellow Cat
Author : Chris Riddell
Favourite Character : Mr. Munroe
Why? : I like the way he looks and I like it when his hair is messy
Favourite Part : When Mr. Munroe pretends to be a dog and he’s put on a lead by a bear in disguise to save him.
Did you like how it ended? yes because it was happy : )
Overall thoughts on the book : I really enjoyed this book because the characters are interesting. For example I found the yellow cat interesting because she was a clever thief and she was human sized and wore human clothes. I also liked it because there was lots of funny parts. I found the illustrations really good because they had little notes attached.
I forgot to post about my b day

What I got up to today.
Today I was set an art project by my mum I had to take pictures of stormtroopers on their days off. I used my action figures and made props out of paper, household objects and lego pieces do this.
Today I also did some work on adapted characteristics which are characteristics that have been learnt like drawing and using tools to adapt an environment. I chose a tree kangaroo for my animal to research on how they have adapted to their environment I also drew myself in different environment.
Totally Tuesday
Hi everybody how are you all?
Today l started school by doing maths. My score on my maths mix up sheet was thirty out of thirty! l was very pleased with myself. Next l practiced some Hungarian because l’ve gone a bit rusty😄. It made me feel more confident in speaking Hungarian. After that l read some of a book called Let It Go which is based on Frozen but Anna and Elsa don’t know each other. It’s very exciting because it’s different from the film and it is full of twists.
