Something I Have Learned!

Hi during quarantine lots has happened and I have learned so many new backing recipes! I recently found out how to make doughnuts and churros both equally delicious! On the first week of quarantine I made twenty four vanilla cupcakes! My sister made two cakes both of them were vanilla, one of my neighbours got ill (not because of covid 19) and was rushed to hospital so we made her cupcakes and wrote a get well card. All in all my favourite thing to make was actually a gotcha pork roast which is mashed potatoes with bacon wrapped around it, most people add onions or other vegetable but I kept it simple! Lastly since I was stuck inside I melted mini marshmallows over a candle!

Thanks for reading my blog!

Science

Today me and grace have been preparing glowing crystals. They will take aproxlimently 72 hours to grow. they don’t look like much  but they still need time to grow. Crystals are a solid fibre that is made up of a repeating pattern of geometric shapes is known a crystal. Did you know a crystal is made from when a liquid cools and hardens.

This blog is for yesterday

I looked at the blog this morning and saw I didn’t have a blog for Thursday, so this one is. Yesterday I watched the rest of the film I was watching it is called Goodnight Mister Tom. It is about how the children would go to the countryside. It was really good.

Next was Spanish. I use the app Duolingo. You can use Duolingo for lots of of languages too.

Then I was doing English. In English I was doing comprehension again.

After that it was Maths. In Maths I did mental Maths. Then I forgot to do some things which wasn’t good.

The last thing I did was a walk. We took my dog Monty with us.

That wraps up yesterday’s blog.

Take care people. By Orla

Scavenger Hunt, Living things and French

Hi there!
Cleo checking in here to show some of this weeks work.
I’ve been trying hard at the Sumdog competition and I’ve been doing my 5-a-day maths problems. I managed to get those all right. I didn’t try the spicy ones yet though so maybe I will try those next. I’m also still reading House with the Chicken Legs. I’ll do a review as soon as I’m done.

This morning we started out with a scavenger hunt. Here’s a picture of the list we followed incase you want to try too.

We’ve done a bit on living things and non-living things. Here is my poster I made after watching some videos on the topic. We also did the alien task.

I also drew a house for French to practice my room names.

We collected lots of stuff for a bug hotel yesterday.  We are going to finish that today. That’s all for now. Going to do my half an hour of reading now.
Have a great day everyone.
Cleo
