I saw this heron when I went for a walk down by the river near me.
I saw this small tortoiseshell butterfly in my garden.
I found this tiny beetle in my house – I still haven’t found out what it is yet.

Lovely photos Mrs Madden! I have seen a lot of bees which look like honey bees but their bodies are a bright orange colour. Haven’t seen them before this year… or maybe I just never noticed them before! Any ideas what type of bee they might be?
UPDATE: I googled them and I think they might be “Tawny Mining bees”.
