Newsround On Tuesday 29th November

Today on Newsround there has been a lot of cool and crazy things going on.

People running for the prize of sports personality of the year 2016 are: Nicola Addams, Gareth Bale, Alistair Brownlee, Sophia Christiansen, Kadeena Cox, Mo Farah, Jason Kenny, Laura Kenny, Andy Murray, Adam Peatty, Kate Richardson, Nick Skelton, Sarah Storey, Jamie Vardy, Max Whitlock and Danny Willet.

 

For the last 13 years there  has been fighting in Iraq and people have been leaving the country. The fight is between the Iraqi government and a group called the Islamic State over wise know as the IS. With all this fighting still going on the children have managed to go back to school and start learning again. Some have only just left the country thinking that they won’t be able to ever go back but gradually they are going back to their country to be educated. It is still not safe enough though to go back and live there just yet.

 

Sixteen year old actor Auli’i Cravalho is doing the voice of character Moana. She said it was her first ever film and that she auditioned because she wanted to live her dream

 

If you have heard of toilet paper to get rid of body waste then how about you try some of the new stuff! A 61 year old man has made a way to make toilet paper out of poop. The animal this poop comes out of is a Chinese giant panda. There is a teacher who long ago retired working for him. She tests out the paper and she says that it smells just like bamboo.

 

This week a cat has been on a powerline pole for 9 days without any food or water local technicians had to come and rescue the cat and the owner was so happy to have him back she cried.

 

In California there has been a bubble cascade on the road! One of the pipes burst and it was full of bubbles! All we can say is the road will be very clean!
