you need to control the line .
let the kite fly the line has to be long enough .
to get a kite to fly you need to run and hold and let it go also you need wind.
Super Kites
In this generation, there are many different and amazing kite designs! Kites come in all shapes and sizes. Kites need lots of wind to make them fly. if your kite is made of paper you can not fly it. This is because it will get soggy and fall out of the sky.
to build our kite, we used straws, sticks, wool, string, plastic straws, sticky tape, fabric, paper and scissors.
We built our kites by doing:
make the shape you wanted from plastic straws. Tied them together with string. We cut the fabric with the scissors to the shape of the frame using sticky tape. by jack p2
Marconi kites
Marconi made a kite in 1901 it made a radio signal a crus the Atlantic ocean.
The kite was a hexagon.

How to make a kite.
you will need,
scissors, tape , stick , paper ,glue , string , light and strong paper, 2x thin sticks.
What to do!
Ask an adult to do a deep notch in the two thin sticks. Now cross them and rap string around them.
Now cut a bit of strong and light paper to form your kite shape.
Add a hole or glue string get some thing to rap string around like a rolling pin.
if you want you can make some decorations of a kite !
Super Kites
A super kite is a kite which is bigger or more fancy than a normal kite.
Some of them are shaped like teddy bears, some of them are bigger than a whale. And that is big!!
Super kites are all different colours and are made of different materials like a parachute!
Super kites can pull along kite buggies with people on them – this is a sport which can be fast and dangerous.
People take their super kites to festivals and competitions and they get bigger and better every year!

Countryside 999
Navy air ambulance, they rescued 10 people from an avalanche.
Next on Countryside 999, the police have to try and investigate a break in. They ask 12 people about the break in to see if they can get clues. Only one person knows about the break in, the police were in the house and the person who committed the crime went away, after the first break in he police put the person in jail who had committed the crime.
Next on Countryside 999, the Firemen had to put out a house on fire. The fire man went into the burning building and he did a fireman’s lift because there were a male and a female in the burning house.
Lastly on Countryside 999, a cat was stuck up a tree and the person phoned the fire brigade and they said ”We will be there as fast as we can.” Finaly the cat was out of the tree and back home.

MARCONI AND ALEXANDER
Alexander
Alexander was a famous inventor he made telephones he was born on march the 3rd 1843 and he died on august the 2nd 1922. He did not get his middle name until his 11th birthday his dad gave his middle name to him as his birthday present. When he was 23 his family moved to Canada. Alexander wanted to make a kite large enough to carry a man he was a famous inventor.
Marconi
Marconi used kites that were twice the size of a man to help with his radio signals. His kites are made of heavy cotton cloth.

Art today
We have art every week on a wedensday with miss starki today we did painting and blending colours. First we got a bit of a4 paper and done our plans we then got different kinds of flowers that were printed out of the printer and we got to choose the one we would like to draw and then paint. I picked a nice blue one. Then miss starki gave us a big bit of paper and you had to pick which number of flowers you would like to have on your picture out of 1 or 2 I picked one big one in the middle of my paper. And then once you had finished drawing your flower you had to paint them. The people who were doing blue had to put light blue on first then you had to put on dark blue and finnaly you blend them together next week we will do the pollen bit of the flower and maybe even leaves!
